I walked into class and put down the book on his desk.

I had my book printed and I even made a cover for it.

He looked at me confused then saw my name in big fancy font letters on the cover.

Without saying anything or looking at him I went and sat in my seat as the bell rang.

... nothing was said.

The class was confused.

I didn't dare to look up at him... knowing he was starring at me during the whole lecture.

He began:
"Today we are going to relearn the term Plot Twist... um..." he clears his throat. "This is because most of your essays this past year have all ended the way the reader expected them to."

He went up to the board and wrote:

"A plot twist is a literary technique, introducing a radical change in the direction or expected outcome of the plot in a work of fiction. When it happens near the end of a story, it is known as a twist or surprise ending."

The exact words from the dictionary.

He went on and on and finally gave assignments out knowing I had just turned mine in I didn't receive one.

As soon as the class ended he just sat down starring at me once again.

••moments passed as he finished reading my assignment••

The bell rang.

Students started walking in and that was my que to leave. I was about to walk out and he stood up.

"What is this Jaci?" He whispers.

I looked down at the book and quietly answered "it's everything you would have never expect Professor Dunn...."

The end.
