As Demi was on the run she ran into a small cabin in the middle of nowhere. She knocked on the door and was greeted by two young women. Demi was greeted in.

"What are you doin' out here hon?" the taller one, Dee, asked; her tone was filled with concern.

Demi said she rather not answer as she pet her cat. "Long story."

"Well let's fill you up while you're on your-what?-let's just call it a run shall we?" the other girl, Night said, her gaming shirt lighting up to her voice. She stood up and fixed Demi some sandwiches.

As she was leaving she thanked the girls. "Thank you so much!"

"No problem!" Night said with a grin.

"WAIT!" Dee screamed and ran in the house and quickly back out. She handed Demi a book. The teen looked at it and back up at Dee with confusion.

"Just for the road!" the black haired girl said. "It's written by our friend!"

"Okay," Demi said and read the cover. "'Truth', eh? Sounds interesting. Thank you!"

As Demi kept going to where her heart told her, Kahn flew over her, watching her every move.

Something was dragging Kahn to that girl, but he didn't know what. She reminded him of Deimos, the last one of his kind. But obviously she wasn't her, no, Brine wouldn't torture him like this...

Or would he.

While in thought, gravity had acted upon him and he felt weaker. Suddenly the weight of his wings disappeared. He felt a liquid run down from his nose to his lips. He screamed and fell in a tree. The plant saved his fall but not by much. He couldn't feel some of his fingers and his ankle stared to swell and bruise. As he got out of the tree and slowly limbed his way through the tall grass.

Would she find me? He thought and looked around. No, he was too far behind her that she would notice.

Kahn continued to limb through the trees but eventually gave up and fell to the ground. The screeched and started to bawl. It hurt, everything did, his hand, his legs, and even his heart. Something inside of him told him to protect this woman, no matter what. And look where it ended him up; dying.

The demon screamed for help. No one came, it was as if no one was on the face of the Earth.

When he tried spawning his wings it just made him more weaker and tired. So he just lay there in the grass in silence. For nothing was more beautiful than nothing at all.

He enjoyed these moments, the silence. He enjoyed it for some reason. It was like he never experienced silence in his life

As the void took over his vision, she came into his blurry vision and knelt down by him. He smiled and began to laugh.

"You came."

Jenny kicked the bars in her cage, her new long, blue hair flying across her face.

"Dammit!" She screeched and rubbed her leg. The stupid cage wouldn't budge, and she didn't think it would. She and the others had been stuck down in these cages for what seemed like a few days. It had gotten out of hand since Herder started to panic in the closed space.

"Give it up already, Monet," Stitcher mumbled a few cages down. "We ain't getting out of here anything soon."

Jenny growled and grabbed onto the bars. Everyone had given up by now besides Shaivalak and herself. But even Valak seemed sketchy lately.
