Chapter 9
FOUR POV
I walk down and help Tris serve desert. After Marcus finishes his we say goodbye.
We start to walk home and he begins to talk to me.
"That Beatrice girl has exceptional manors she always does what she's told, and her father says she gets straight A's. I want her to rub off on you so I hired her as your tutor" he says
"She will come bye after school to work with you until your grades pull up" he finishes
I try so hard to hide a smile, I get to spend my days with Tris. I could not be happier.
When we get home he points out each and every little mistake I made and starts beating me with his belt, like he does every night. I hurts but I hold in a scream.
"Now get to bed you worthless piece of crap." She says and I go off to my room.
I get in the shower and let the warm water clean my injured back. It hurst bad but I ignore the pain.
When I'm done I wrap the wounds and go to sleep.

I wake up and realize Tris is coming over today, so after I get ready for school I start to clean.
I finish and head to the bus stop, were I see non other than the Tris Prior the one I have been exited to see since I left her house last night.
"Hey Tris." I say and sit next to her on the bench.
"Hey Four." She waves.
"Do me a favor and don't call me that unless we're around people." I say
"Alright, Hi Tobias." She says. It's nice to hear her say my name. The only one I ever hear it from is Marcus.
"So football tryouts today?" She asks
"Yup, cheerleading?" I ask and she nods. Then laughs and I stare at her confused.
"I hear I'll be tutoring you." She smirks
"Only with Math, Science, And Dauntless History." I say
"Considering every other subject is mostly physical." She says and we laugh
"Cause your just great at everything" I says sarcastically
"I try to be," she smirks and winks. We both laugh, and get on the black bus that has pulled up in front of us. We walk to the back of the bus and spot Zeke and Uri so we sit in front of them.
"You guys live in the same neighborhood?" Uriah asks
"We found out last night his house is literally right beside mine." Tris says
"Cool" Zeke says nudging me with his foot. I shoot him a death glare.
He backs off and we continue to talk about random stuff until we get to school.
Me and Tris head to our lockers to grab our books for strategy 101
We meet up with Zeke half way there and sit at our dest, me in the middle of Tris and Zeke.
Max starts talking about well strategy. But I mostly stare at Tris most of the time, and occasionally taking notes.
Then we head over to Aim and Technique and Tris still has a better Aim than me...
After the bell rings we head off to the locker rooms to get ready for P.E.
