Zoe's POV

I felt uneasy telling Jack that I had kissed Alfie. Or that he had kissed me. Or whatever. But I felt that if I told Jack, my feelings and trust would become stronger with him, instead of leaving it to myself and letting the thoughts and feelings build. I'm still undecided. I think telling Jack, did the opposite of what I had intended. By telling Jack I allowed myself to agree to the words spilling out of my mouth, to ponder them more. And if I know anything about pondering, it makes you think, ask questions and ruin your life. I. Was.Developing.Feelings.For.Alfie.Deyes. This is bad. Marcus was walking toward me and I could see Jack and Alfie talking. I hope Jack doesn't hurt ALfie, although I know he never would because he's sweet and charming, and couldn't even hurt a fly.

"So." Marcus said "Would you like some help cleaning up?" He reached over and grabbed a few of the plate, tossing them into the public wastebin.

"Sure, thank you." I said, getting on to my feet, still pondering who I liked more. I must have had a deep thinking face, because Marcus noticed.

"Is everything alright, Zoe?" He asked,  looking at me with concern, but continuing to gather the plates.

"Yes. I'm fine." I lied. I'm an emotional mess. "Just thinking." Which technically isn't a lie, I just havn't specified what I was thinking about. It was almost like Marcus could read my mind, because then he followed up.

"What about?" He still looked concerned.

I stalled a little, getting caught in my own words. "Oh, you know.. Life.. Everything... How beautiful the sky is this time of day." I said trying to change the subject, but Marcus wouldn't buy it. I took another glance toward Alfie and Jack, and Jack was walking back this way as Alfie stood by his car slightly confused and saddened.

"Zoe, I know what had happened, Alfie told me, it's alright." Marcus said, getting my attention. I gave him an I-don't-know-what-you're-talking-about sort of look, but he just shook it off and continued to stare at my untill I tried to speak again.

"Alright, Sweetie. Ready to go?" I felt warm inviting arms wrap around my shoulders. I looked up at the voice and let out a sigh of relief knowing it was Jack. I gave him a peck on the cheek and got amused looks from Marcus. I glared back at him.

"Yeah, let's go." I said picking up the blanket and walking towards Jack's car.
