Roman's POV

Streams of sunlight peeked through my curtains and woke me from my slumber along with the smell of pancakes drifting under my door. I made my way to the kitchen to see Patton at the stove and Logan at the table reading a book. I took a seat beside Logan and pulled out my phone.

Once Patton brought the food I put down my phone and Logan closed his book. Breakfast was eaten in silence which was odd. Both of the older traits had looks of contemplation and sadness, but I wasn't sure why. Suddenly a thought struck me.

Wheres Anxiety? He never misses breakfast. Ever. He knows it makes Patton upset even though he doesn't always attend the other meals. But The fatherly trait hadn't seemed to notice his absence. I hope Anx is ok. After a moment of thinking, I decided to voice my concerns.

"So.. um where's Anxiety?" I said looking up slightly to make eye contact with the other traits. Patton looked up then looked around a little like he hadn't noticed Virgils absence. A look of worry came over his face.

"I'll go check on him he's probably just still asleep." He tried to reassure me even though he still looked worried. Morality got up and made his way upstairs to Anxiety's room.

Now that I think about it I don't know where Anxiety's room is.

After a few minutes I hear running coming from upstairs and then Patton comes down the stairs. He breathlessly looks to Logan.

"Anxiety is not in his room," he said looking frantic. I don't know why though. He was probably just in the bathroom or wondering around. Logan looked up at Patton with the same worried expression and he jumped from his chair and followed Morality up the stairs. I sat there confused for a few minutes before I decided to follow them. I found them running down a hall of the mind scape that I had never been down. That must be what Anxiety's room is.

When I reached them they were going into a room with a black door which I assumed belonged to Virgil. Across the hall was a white door. Hmm I wonder who that belongs to. I made a note to myself to ask later and stepped into the room. The room was large and had a bed with a purple and black comforter against one wall. He also had a desk cluttered with pencils and sketch pads. To my surprise the walls were white. He awesome Nightmare Before Christmas posters above his bed and a gray bookshelf stocked with books and movies.

Logic and Morality rushed around his room looking in every possible spot for where he could be. After finding nothing in his bedroom they made their way to the closets and bathrooms in the house. After checking everywhere they could think of the stopped back in front of the mysterious white door. With an nervous look at each other they made the decision to check the room. But before their shaky hands could open the door Virgil popped up out of nowhere.

"What are you guys doing?" He question sounding his usual level of annoyed with a strange mixture of fear. We jumped at the sudden voice. After realizing who the voice belonged to, Patton and Logan ran up to him and squeezed him in a hug. I still had no idea what the big deal was it's not the first time Anx has disappeared without a trace, and no one was this worried then.

"Where were you?" Patton questioned in his dad voice.

"Calm down dad I was just in the Imagination," he answered in a confident tone. But the confidence quickly faded, "I'm gonna head to my room." His voice sounded small.
