Night falls upon the city, ceasing some activity but not much. A heartbroken trait lay in the middle of his apartment, sobbing silently. He was like a blank piece of paper that the universe tore, crumpled, and dragged through the mud. The feeling of wrongness washed over him. He felt misplaced suddenly. He didn't belong here. He belongs to Thomas.

I know where I am.

Three traits watch the screen as their missing trait slowly stands and walks to the kitchen. He slides open a drawer and stares at it. After contemplating his decision he grabbed a knife. The others were in shock. What the hell was he about to do?

The darker trait walked over to his desk, shoving the knife in a bag. He sat at his computer and typed before getting up and grabbing a book from his self. His emotionless expression as he left the apartment was heartbreaking.

"Alright guys we have to get out of here. We are going to save Anxiety." Patton stood up and announced to his fellow traits. "Logan I need you to devise an escape plan. Roman I need you to help execute said escape plan. Alright?" Both other traits nodded in agreement. Already devising a plan.

"I think I have an idea," Logan announced, "ok so we know were in the mind palace still. We also have a map of every room in the mind palace. So why is this room not on the map?" Silence filled the room. Logan took that as his cue to continue, "If were in a place that isn't seen on the map there has to be a reason. My explanation is that this room is the dream room. We can assume that this was probably Conner's room at some point. Since he and Virgil are practically opposites, it would make sense that one has a dream room and the other a nightmare room."

"But why can't we see it?" Roman question, slowly processing the information.

"The same reason we can't see the nightmare room. People only dream during a state of altered consciousness, so the door is only visible when Thomas is asleep."

"So if this is a dream then why can't we leave?" Patton asked after Logan had finished.

The creak of rusted hinges echoes through the room. They turn to see a wooden door. In a state of excitement they run out, forgetting to check the cameras before the door closed and locked behind them.

It's time to find Virgil.
