"Are you sure you want to do this alone because...", Ali concernedly voiced out. "Ali, i'm fine handling it alone and besides, you have to be there along with Neela ma for the bidding in case the Mehtas have other tricks up  their sleeve," Avni firmly said. Ali breathed in," Okay, but are you sure you are fine? After what happened with Neil..". Avni caved in and interrupted Ali, she did not like the direction in which the conversation was steering in," Ali please, I don't want to take about him, Just let it be,". Avni hanged up the call without giving Ali the opportunity to say anything else.

Avni sighed as she watched the leaden sky dripping with intermittent rainfall. She was currently in a lodge in the outskirts of the city. She had managed to locate where Dayawanti and Aman were, but she could not pinpoint the exact location. She however knew, that they were within a certain radius from her. She hated to admit but she felt that her heart had been crushed post the events at Neil's place. She felt so dumb for falling into his trap. She should have known that it was all a game for him, which was a pity since she had somewhere unconsciously started falling for him. But, she would have to pull herself together, she could not forget her life's main motive. She managed to siphon out the Mehtas from their mansion and she prayed that Neela and Ali would manage to get possession of the house. The only she had left to do was to get Aman back and watch Dayawanti's downfall.

Avni noticed shadows on the wall. Perhaps, there was someone on the balcony. Avni shivered at the thought of an intruder. Who could it be? Or was it just hallucinations? Should she check or let it be? No further suspicious activity was recognised by Avni. Possibly, there was no harm in checking out. Avni gingerly slid the glass door to the balcony and stepped out. She was greeted by strong gusts of wind and drops of rain.

She shivered as she rubbed her bare arms. The tank top she was wearing was not the most appropriate during the rains. Avni glanced once again just in case, she sighed out of relief and made her way back inside. Avni suddenly paused as she was opening the door and narrowed her eyes," What the fuck are you doing here?!". Her doubts were confirmed. She stormed towards Neil who inhaled sharply as he alighted himself onto the balcony. He had been hovering around there and had been able to hoist himself up before Avni could literally push him away. Avni felt her veins pulsate as she saw Neil drenched completely, his shirt doing nothing but giving her a clear view of his torso and chiseled abs. Avni mentally chided herself and forced herself to remember his doings. Neil too was left devoid of breath when he saw Avni after so many days. She looked as ravishing as ever, the droplets of water, sliding onto her smooth skin and travelling inside her top, her luscious lips were even more appealing to him. He gulped and attempted to extinguish the fire burning inside of him by looking sideways. Avni bit her lips and let anger overtake her senses, otherwise, she would fall into his trap again and she could not afford to do that, not again.

Avni seethed," You are back to arrest me right! That's all what your corrupt system knows to do! It dances to the tunes to whoever buys it, and you are doing the same!". Neil was caged between the railing and Avni who advanced towards him, her eyes riveted on him. "Avni, listen to me..I know that.." Neil calmly began as he placed his palm on her shoulder, warming her but she shoved his hand away," No, you listen to me! You can arrest me for stealing but your system cannot arrest Dayawanti Mehta for murdering my mother, you disgust me!"

Neil bowed down his head. He realised that he was partly wrong in setting her up. He had come to clear things up after some interactions and he had gotten a clearer picture of why Avni was as such by Neela. Ali had reasoned with Neil and urged him to think twice before taking any decision. Neil, assisted by DD had managed to glean information where Avni was. He wanted to talk to her before reaching a consensus. But before he could talk to her, he had to calm her down and there was only one way to do it, or he knew only one way to get her to stop moving. Neil knew that  Avni would kill him for this but he still went forward with it.

He swiftly slid out the handcuffs from the pocket at back of his jeans and smoothly slid her hand on one side and the other to the railing. "Neil, don't make the mistake of doing this again, you very well know what happened last time!" Avni wriggled aimlessly. Neil tutted and winked, infuriating her even more. She knew there was no escape. Her heart sank as those thoughts flashed in her mind. She felt conscious of Neil and her's  proximity, her clothes were now wet and stuck to Neil's, who held her in place with his weight. Neil had to clear things out. It was now or never and he noticed that the best way to get her to keep quiet was to get closer to her. But, that meant, playing with fire in the rain...
