•••Leaving her hurt. It hurt so much. The tears that ran down her face, her shaking body, her desperate cries; I still saw them.
I shook my head, she's going to be alright. She was doing just fine before we met, I'm sure she'll be fine now.
I sighed deeply and snatched my suitcase from the flight attendant. I might seem rude, but I don't intend to be. I just don't like people.
Just like I don't like going anywhere that isn't my home. I mean, sure, the idea of studying gets me excited, I've always liked school..but not if it means leaving the one person whom I can actually stand being around.
Novalli.
She's the only person I'm willing to cry for - the only person worth it. I never did it though, because I thought she would think low of me. I'll admit, I was a fool to think that.
I took a taxi to MIT. My fingers hovered over Novalli's contact on my phone, deciding wether I should call her or not. I groaned, putting my phone away. This is what she does to me. I had to stop being such a pussy.
As soon as I got to the place I searched for my dorm. I wanted to die at the thought of sharing a room with some other person. Novalli tried to convince me that it was 'healthy' to talk to others once in a while. I said I'd try only to stop talking about it, but wasn't talking to anyone.
I knocked on the door, and I heard muffled voices from the other side. The door unlocked, and a blonde-haired guy appeared before me. He grinned, his smile stretching to the opposite corners of his face. It made me sick.
"Hey, man, I'm Conner." Conner stuck his hand out, heading for a handshake. I stared at his hand for a good five seconds, then proceeded to walk past him, ignoring his stretched hand.
"Uh..come in?"
The first thing -the first person- I saw was a dude sprawled out on a bed, a beer bottle in his hand. I smirked. If beer is a thing here, maybe this won't be so bad.
The guy burped loudly, his sour breath filling the room.
Nevermind.
When he noticed me, his expression lightened. He stood up, setting the beer bottle on the table. "So, this is the dweeb we were supposed to wait for," he frowned, "fucking finally."
I glared at him, setting my bag down on a naked matress. "...I'm no dweeb."
He rolled his eyes, "whatever.""This is Julian," he gestured his hands towards him. "Julian, this is..?"
I unzipped my suitcase, my back facing the two guys. Did I really have to answer?
"Victor...," I replied, pulling my cat, Emma, out from the suitcase. Her head was sticking out from it on our way to MIT, so there was no problem. I didn't let her out simply because I didn't want to looser her.
I placed her down, giving her time to stretch out on the carpeted floor. I didn't notice when Conner scooped her up into his arms.
"Awe, you brought a kitty!" He walked around, patting her head and smoothing her fur. And she was enjoying it. Traitor.
I rolled my eyes, reaching for Emma and chasing Conner around the room.
"Ah, who's this?" I stopped abruptedly, turning around only to find Julian holding a small, squared picture in his hands. Fucking shit. Must've slipped when I pulled Emma out.
He smirked at the picture, and I immidietly knew who was on it. Novalli.
"This your sister, Vicky?" I growled, reaching over to slap it out of his filthy hands, but he only back up. "Answer me, Vicky, is this your sister?"
I glared, anger seeping into my veins. I didn't answer him, if he knew she was my girlfriend, he'd never let me hear the end of it. He took another glance at the photo, his dirty eyes looking at all of her. Then he flipped it around, his grin getting wider.
"Novalli..hm..it even has a little heart next to it." He chuckled. The way he said her name, like a man thinking about his next meal, only triggered my anger to higher levels.
His eyes widened a moment later, as if realizing something. "She must be your girlfriend then, huh?" I sighed in defeat.
"She's pretty hot," he murmured, but it was loud enough to for me to hear. "Julian, stop," Conner warned. I turned to Julian, and took the picture from him. Thankfully, it didn't get damaged.
"It's just a comment, Conner, chill."
I put the photo away in my pocket, wanting to get the image of Novalli away from Julian's eyes. "..have you fucked her yet?"
That's it.
I turned around, balling my hands into a fist, ready to punch the hell out of him. Conner stopped me before I could get to him, though. "Guys, please, not in front of the cat."
"You must've not, look how angry your getting."
My face burned with pure embarrassment, a blush creeping up all the way down my neck...because I knew he was right.
