Ding dong.
"I got it!" Taylor yelled as she raced to the door.
I heard the door open, muffled conversation, and Taylor giggling.
I rolled my eyes and looked at Autumn who was smiling.
"Looks like the pizza guy's here," She said knowingly.
I laughed and grabbed my wallet before walking downstairs with Autumn.
"So where's your grandma?" Autumn asked.
I smiled a small mischevious smile. "On a date."
Autumn gasped. "No way."
I laughed and nodded. "Way."
We had reached the door so our conversation stopped as we watched Taylor flirt BIG TIME with the pizza delivery guy.
He didn't seem to mind.
He was tall, broad-shouldered, with brown hair that was kind of spiky, and had grass green eyes that made his killer smile even more killer.
Go Taylor.
"Thank you sooo much for driving all this way to give us our pizza," Taylor said, biting her lip and twirling a lock of hair on her finger.
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes as I handed the guy a twenty.
When my hand touched his, his eyes locked with mine and a warm energy seemed to flow between us and then stopped as he quickly pulled his hand away.
"Thanks," I said dazedly and closed the door after Taylor slipped the guy her number.
I decided to shrug it off for now and just wait until my grandma got home to tell her about it.
I went into the kitchen and sat the pizza on the island.
It was silent for a moment before Autumn and I burst into laughter.
"What? What's so funny?" Taylor asked, staring at us like we were mad.
We were, but that's not the point.
"Oh, thank you sooo much for driving all this way to give us our pizza!" Autumn mocked, holding onto my shoulders and batting her eyes.
Taylor narrowed her eyes and her cheeks flamed red.
Autumn and I laughed a little more than stopped and put some pizza on our plates.
Taylor shrugged it off and also got a slice.
We went into my living room and the girls sat on my sofa while I sat my plate down and dropped to my knees.
I searched my movie cabinet before pulling out Titanic.
I held the disk up for the girls to see and put my puppy dog face on.
They groaned.
"Ugh, Katie! Haven't you seen Titanic like a million times?" Autumn complained.
"Yah. And you do know that no matter how many times you watch it, Jack is still going to die, right?" Taylor said.
I rolled my eyes and sat on the couch, still holding the disk in my hand.
"Hey guys, watch this," I said.
I focused hard and lifted my hand in the air.
I imagined a line of energy running from my hand to the disk in my lap, linking the two together.
