Siren (a Gaara love story)

Deleah: this chapter is über short... Sorry. I just wanted to update... Plus I have to announce the winner of the cover contest.  

Gaara: and the winner is....**drum roll** 

Deleah: congratulations scream_queen! You win! I will change my cover as soon as I have a real computer!  

Gaara: ya! And she doesn't own Naruto!

Screams. I heard screaming. I shot out of bed, reaching for my bow and strapping it to my back. I looked around, where was Gaara? Quickly activating Siren, my natural defense, I ran out of bed and into the village. Civilians ran screaming, jonin and chunin ran about, trying to control the situation. I stopped a ninja that ran next to me 

"what is going on?" 

"the Kazekage is under attack! Everyone needs to head to the center!" my eyes widened and I ran along side the young ninja. He was probably only a chunin. We ran through the streets until we found the rest of the ninja community gathering. I spotted Baki sensei right away. I ran over to him 

"what's going on?!" I asked. He turned somber eyes over to me 

"The Akatsuki are here" I covered my mouth with one hand. This was bad. really bad...

"and Gaara...?" he glanced down at the ring in my finger, flinched with slight resentment and pointed upwards. I looked up only in time to see a female looking Akatsuki member, pull Gaara onto a bird like creature, and fly off.  

"GAARA!" I screamed. Everyone's eyes lowered as they realized what they had just let happen. As Baki sensei started to talk, I ran to the hospital. Before I went to get Gaara, I had to make sure the rest of my family were okay.

Walking into the hospital, I was immediately over run with the smell of sickness. People all around we're being treated, everyone seemed to be hurt. Nervously I walked up to the front desk and looked at the woman who stood there. When she saw me she gave me a small smile 

"this room" she pointed it out on a map. Nodding I sprinted off yo the room. I burst grouch the door and immediately felt sick. There, lying in the bed, was a sick and shaking Kankuro. Temari ran at me and threw her arms around me 

"Liiran! Thank goodness your okay!" I nodded slightly and looked at Kankuro 

"whats wrong with him?" I asked Temari's eyes saddened 

"he's been poisoned. We've called for lead ninja help, but they may not be here for days..." I nodded 

"well, I've trained as a medical ninja... I'll keep him stable until the come"

"more water! I need a needle now! Someone bring me the cooling tonic!" I ordered. Lady Chiyo stood to the left of me, holding Kankuro down as I injected needle after needle into him. His body convulsed, then calmed. His breathing slowed and I knew my temporary fix had worked. I wiped the sweat from my brow, and took a long drink of water. Lady Chiyo smiled at me 

"you are a great medical ninja... Where did you learn?" I smiled at her frail form 

"some stories are better left untold, Chiyo sama" she nodded slightly and opened her mouth to say something but was cut of by a moan. We looked at Kankuro and saw his fever had started again. We both ram back to him and started the process again 

"I hope that the leaf ninja get here soon"
