                  "I couldn't reach No.1 with studies, but I thought I could with music" -- Agust'd

" The endless worries of chasing the dream..." -Min Yoongi; Big Hit Audition.

Min Yoongi was excited.

Today was payday. Cash meant, savings. He worked cleaning car windshields. They paid so little by the hour, but every cent counted. He had been saving money to afford to live on his own. Screw college. Min Yoongi knew his future wasn't going to be found in the text books. He had a dream that he planned to fulfill. He knew with today's paycheck he would have enough to leave, but it wasn't going to be that easy.

Min Yoongi needed an audition. "First thinking, I better get out of Daegu..." Agust'd 724148

There were plenty of companies that were searching for new talent, but which one should he pick? He barely had enough money to live on his own, he only had a few bucks left to pay for one audition. Min Yoongi only got one shot at this, everything had to be thought out carefully.

Min Yoongi headed to work, riding the same bicycle he rode to school everyday. Once he was there, he hoped off of his bike and headed towards the boss's office to receive his paycheck. He gently knocked on the closed door.

"Come in," he heard a rough voice say. Yoongi obeyed and entered.

He respectably bowed, greeting his boss. "Annyeonghaseyo," he said.

Without responding to Yoongi, his boss continued to impatiently write things down on a slip of paper. Min Yoongi was used to this. He knew his boss hated him, which didn't bother him because Min Yoongi didn't like him either. He had to tolerate him though, because he needed this job.

The boss knew what his worker had come for. Min Yoongi was the only employee who personally came to retrieve his paycheck, unlike the other employees who would rather have it mailed.

Yoongi anxiously retrieved his paycheck and wasted no time going home.

Although he dreaded it, Min Yoongi had to tell his parents the plans he had in mind sooner or later. He knew their response was not going to be good, especially his fathers.

Appa would definitely burst, but Yoongi didn't care. He was going to leave weather appa and eomma agreed or not.

                                                                                                   * * * * * *
The ride home from work was nice. Spots of clouds shown in the sky, the breeze cool. The day was slowly turning to evening.

When Min Yoongi finally got home from work, his mother was in the kitchen.

He made his way toward her, "I'm home, Eomma." He said.

He expected to be greeted with a kiss from his mother but she didn't look at him, not even a glance. His eomma was on the floor, both hands covered her face.

She was crying, and Min Yoongi didn't know why.

Yoongi immediately worried and he sunk down sitting next to her. "Eomma, what's wrong?" He asked, trying to get her to look at him. He was afraid to touch her. She looked so fragile.

After a few sobs the woman uncovered her face, refusing to look at her son. Horror imprinted the features on Yoongi's face, when his mother did so. A dark purple aura surrounded his mothers left eye. Someone had smacked eomma.

"Explain this! Eomma who did this to you?" Rage filled Yoongi's body. His hands bundled into fists. Whoever did this was going to pay. His Eomma didn't respond, which made Min Yoongi even more upset.

"Dammit mom! Talk to me!" He begged. His mother cried harder. Yoongi didn't mean to raise his voice, but his anger boiled. No one had the right to touch his eomma like this. He cupped his mothers face with both of his hands.

When she looked at him, her heart suddenly warmed. Min Yoongi was all she had at this point. Calming herself she said,  "Y-your Appa and I had another fight, son."

Min Yoongi couldn't believe it. He knew his father was short tempered but he never imagined his father touching eomma like this.

"Why mom? Why would he do this to you?" Min Yoongi asked, finally bringing himself to hug his mom. As soon as her son embraced her, she let out another sob. She felt ashamed. Her son shouldn't be the one comforting her, she should be the one to have her arms wrapped around her son. She hated that she was showing her vulnerability. Moms were supposed to be the safety their children longed for, but at the moment her child was assuring her security.

Suddenly Min Yoongi found himself in a hole. He wanted to pursue his dream, but he can't leave his mother alone with the monster who hurt her. He couldn't bring himself to abandon her.

Suddenly every dream that settled within his heart, was stored away. He had to save up for a couple more months, so that he had enough money to support both of them.
