I got into my truck and put my new Ed Sheeran CD in. I change it to my favorite song on the album; Wake Me Up and started singing along.

"I should ink my skin with your name

And take my passport out again

And just replace it

See I could do without a tan

On my left hand,

Where my fourth finger meets my knuckle

And I should run you a hot bath

And fill it up with bubbles

'Cause maybe you're loveable

And maybe you're my snowflake

And your eyes turn from green to gray

In the winter I'll hold you in a cold place."

Robert walked from around the truck and got in. "Jammin' are we?" I laughed.

"You're such an idiot." He frowned which only caused me to laugh harder. I sounded like a dying seal. He finally cut me off.

"Nick called. He wants to know if you want to go to a party tonight." I looked over at him with a huge grin planted on my face.

"Who's driving us home?" I ask. I always want to make sure we have a sober driver. My friend got killed in an accident. Her and her friends were all drinking.

"My Uncle Jerry." I frowned. He's forty and he hits on me every time I see him. It makes me uncomfortable.

I agreed anyway. "Can I bring Jake?"

"Of course." Robert replied with a fake smile. I pulled out my phone and sent Jake a text.

To: Jake
• Hey, what are you doing later?

From: Jake
• Nothing at all. Why?

To: Jake
• Want to go to a party with me later? It'll be fun. :)

From: Jake
• Hell yeah! Do you want to meet up at the party or do you want me to come pick you up?

To: Jake
• Meet at the party. I'll text you the address in a little bit.

"Jake is coming." I simply said.

"Rebecca is going with me." He grinned.

The rest of the trip was silent. We were almost at Robert's house. I guess that I can call it my house now. I am not moving in with my mom and Chris, that's for sure! I am almost a legal adult anyhow. Just a couple more months. We pulled in the driveway and I reached over to honk the horn. There was a red Mustang parked next to Nick's truck. I wonder who's here? Rebecca doesn't have a Mustang, so it wasn't her. Maybe it was Nick's date. I grinned at the thought. He has never really had a real girlfriend before. Well, not one that lasted more than three months. I guess that I was thinking longer than I thought because Robert was already inside the house with most of the shopping bags. How long was I sitting here?

I got out of the truck, grabbed the rest of the bags and walked inside. Robert was in the kitchen making food which was probably going to be a puddle of puke later. There was a girl sitting on the couch. She has beautiful long, blonde hair and sharp brown eyes. She was wearing short shorts and a loose, blue shirt with a smiley face on it. Nick walked in and went straight for the girl. "Alice." He grabbed her hand and pulled her off the couch. She giggled. "This is Amanda. Amanda, this is Alice." She waved. I just laughed and wrapped her in a hug.

"So, your Nick's girl?" She nodded. "Are you going to the party later?" I ask.

She nodded again, then smiled. She must be shy because she hasn't said much. "I'm going to get ready." I walk back to Robert's room. Hmm.. what should I wear? I dig through my new clothes that have been put on my bed. I decided on some cut-off jeans and simple black Slayer shirt. I slip on the same shoes I wore to the store. I walked back over to the bags on my bed and got the toothbrush, toothpaste and the very little makeup that I bought.

I stood in front of the bathroom mirror, brushing my teeth first. Next, was my hair. I didn't do much to it, just flung it around a little bit to make it look a bit messy. I put foundation, black mascara and black eyeliner on. I actually looked pretty decent. I walked back to the living room where Nick and Amanda were. "Nick, I forgot to ask. What's the address where the party is at?"

He pulled out his phone. "210 Heights Road. Oh, and the zip code is 77258."

I smile. "Thanks."

"Why did you want the address?" He asked.

"Jake is meeting me there." I texted Jake the address.

From: Jake
• See you soon, babe.

What a flirt. Robert walked over to see what I was doing and I hid the phone before he could see. He turned around like he was going to walk away but, he zipped around and snatched my phone. "Robert!" I yell. He was laughing while running up the stairs. "You better give that back!" I was chasing after him.

"Come and get me." He paused, looking at my phone. "Aw! He called you babe." He got louder. "Guys! He called her babe!"

"Robert William Hayes, give me my phone back now!" I was pissed.

I heard laughing from downstairs. "Oh no. She called him by his full name. He's in trouble." I couldn't help but laugh. I finally caught up with Robert and grabbed him by the shirt. I held my hand out and waited for him to give me my phone back. He smirked and gave it back. I punched him really hard in the left arm. "Ow!" He wrapped his hand around it. "That is going to leave a bruise."

I smiled. "Aw, go whine somewhere else." Amanda laughed. I was teasing, but I think that I might have hurt his feelings.

"You guys ready?" I ask.

"I'm waiting for Rebecca. She's going to come pick me up." Nick nodded. I hugged Robert.

"Sorry for punching you so hard. Maybe next time you will know better." I grinned and walked out of the door. Amanda and Nick were waiting in her Mustang. "Want to ride with us?" She asked.

"Sure, thanks!" I hopped in the back seat and she drove off. We arrived at the party twenty minutes after leaving the house. I could hear the music before we even opened our doors. I climbed out of the backseat and stared walking towards the back door, since that was the door that everyone was walking in. There were so many people here! Nick stopped me and gave me a questionable look. "I'm going to go see if I can find Jake." Nick nodded.

"We are probably going to stay outside. Come and find us if you need anything!" I waved and walked inside. The smell of alcohol and weed was overpowering. That was all that I could smell. I saw an unopened Bud Light sitting on the counter and claimed it as my own. Jake wasn't in the kitchen.

I walked around for about twenty minutes with no luck. Maybe he wasn't here yet. I decided to go upstairs and call to see if he was still planning on coming. I walked down the hall and entered the first room I found. It smelled strongly of weed and people were sprawled out everywhere; Green Day playing in the background.

I quickly left the room only after I took a few hits from a bong. I opened the door of the next room. There was no need to make a phone call because I had finally found Jake. There was a girl straddling him on the bed with their lips locked.
