Must Be My Mate

Julie's P.O.V

"So are you ready to go?" I nodded at his question as we both walked back to the car, he happened to be really impressed by Alberto's sandwiches and promised he'd come here more often and bring him some clients. While we were eating, we got to know each other more, and I learned that some reasons changed him into a playboy including his fathers's absence while he was growing up, I also now know that his mother was acting rude earlier just because she is afraid for her son, it's his mother so it's ordinary that she'll be protective over her son as he was her only son, though he had two step sisters that he doesn't see that often but he said that they were nice unlike their father who was unhappy with Arron being Camellia's real boy, talk about awkward. It's pretty usual to see step fathers not getting along with theirs step children, so he was okay with it.

"Where do you live?" That question caught me by surprise, of course he would ask! I didn't think about it, I so forgot!

"Uhh, you could just drop me off at Bailey's" I nervously answered, he's a pretty intelligent for a guy so he might get suspicious.

"I'd like to drop you off at your house" He said after starting the car, "where to?"

"Uhh, I promised I'll sleepover with Bailey, she'll be kinda mad" I tried pursuing him in dropping me off at Bail's. he sighed and nodded announcing me that he had finally gave up. I hadn't realized that I was holding my breath, well... This one went okay.

Next Morning.

"Well that was a close one!" Bailey exclaimed as we were walking towards her desk.

"My heart almost jumped out of my chest" I explained more, we were exchanging thoughts again about the situation that I experienced yesterday.

"Good morning!" Lauren was standing in front of Arron's office when she greeted us very cheerfully, she is way too happy at morning. Bailey and I said hello back, then Arron appeared with his classy suit as forever.

"Ladies," He greeted us with a smile "Bailey can you get the contracts with the CVS company ready for me please? Oh and Juliet, I need my dark coffee please" Bailey nodded and I got up to get his coffee ready. Deep down I was kind of hurt, I've thought that now that we went on a date and enjoyed it and also got to know each other more, we'll have a friendship and not just a professional relationships, I was so wrong to think that things would change, I'm so dumb to have believed it, or just almost believed it...

"Shit !" I breathed heavily with my hands on my knees as I hat finished mopping the floor one more time, I swear adults are messier then five years old children ! This is the fifth time I mop this floor as it had so many coffee stains and spills. My back is hurting me so much because f the bending I have been doing to pick up the paper pieces.

After an hour or so, I finished making the offices look a bit more neat and clean. I changed my work clothes into the usual pair of jeans and T-shirt, and walked out of the company saying goodbye to the security guys. And the my tie ring journey of finding a shelf starts in 1,2,3...

Arron's P.O.V

I was waiting in my car, Last night, I got really suspicious when Juliet didn't want me to drive her home, so that's why I'm doing this now. Oh here she is... It's time to play Sherlock Holmes.

I hope you're doing well and had so far a nice day, well, this was the chapter and I hope you enjoyed it. though I am very sorry for the late update I really didn't mean it but I once again decided to take time and think where this story is heading because I haven't been getting any feedback on the chapter except a comment or two, it really annoys me because you guys read but don't comment 😔 anyway, if I'm not getting any comments on this chapter I might just put the story on hold, or be super late in updating even more than this time and at the worse of all I might deleted, you probably don't care now or think that I'm being a bitch so excuse me if you think so but I'm just stating true facts. well now that that's out of hand, thanks for reading and until next time hopefully !
