Valerie's POV
At the sound of my alarm clock I shoot up in my comfortable bed. Groaning I realize that it's time to get ready for school.
I take my time showering and throwing on a N.Y.U sweatshirt, dark wash skinny jeans and a pair of grey vans. I wasn't really in the mood to dress up today.
Once finished brushing out my unruly brown hair, I drag my tired body into the kitchen for breakfast. Mom didn't have to work today, so I might at least be able to start my day off with a decent meal.
"Morning mom" I grumble walking out into the kitchen.
Not noticing my entrance she turns her head, facing me in only a light blue bath robe. "Morning Honey," she smiles my way, before continuing to scramble eggs on the stove.
"There's pancakes on the island if you want." She points out.
"Thanks" I shrug my backpack off onto the kitchen floor, filling up a plate.
Once I finally sit down with my plate full of homemade deliciousness, I begin slicing it up with my fork just the way I like. Just as I'm about to bring my mouth watering meal to my mouth, my phone goes off.
Sucking my teeth I pull it out. Brody's name pops up on the caller I.D.
"What?!" I ask annoyed. I've never been much of a morning person and disturbing my eating has always been one of my main pet peeves.
"Whoa, no need to get your thong in a twist. I was only calling to tell you that we're outside." He informs me.
"We?" I ask cautiously
"Me and Blake" he says almost apologetically
Rolling my eyes and stomping my foot down on the kitchen floor like a two year old, I cover my phone hearing an earth shattering scream that sounded like Blake's voice
"Vaaaal-!" Blake's voice echoed through my iPhone
I look over at my mom who apparently heard Blake's yell, I give her a sweet smile and return to my phone.
"I'll be out in a second." I hang up.
My mom packs my food into a plastic take out container and kisses me goodbye, telling me to have a nice day. As I walk out the front door I see Brody
"Morning sunshine" Brody greets me, leaning on the side of his car.
"Hey" I respond walking around to the passenger side, not really feeling like having a conversation. Seeing that Blake has already taken a seat in the front I open the back door.
"Hey babe," He smirks craning his neck into the back of the car.
"I'm not your babe, shit mouth." I respond, glaring up at him.
"You seem to have some sort of stick stuck up your ass this morning. I could help you with that; what'd you say? I'm pretty busy, but I could make time for the lovely Val" He pauses looking me up and down "I'm willing to help out ANYWAY I can." He grinns, hapy with his perverted statements.
"She's in a shitty mood bro. Just lay off." Brody tells
On the drive to school I pondered why Brody had decided to pick me up, we weren't that close as friends yet but I felt a spring of happiness knowing that he cared about me. I look out the window and notice we had just arrived in the school parking lot
After parking the car we all get out of the car, I shifted awkwardly noticing some people were staring at me as if I had just done something shameful. I tried to shrug it off, I waved goodbye to the boys as I began to walk to the front door of the school

Halfway through chemistry class I feel a light jab to my shoulder. Glancing over to see who it is, I see a girl with blonde hair and light blue eyes she stares at me deeply almost as if she was contemplating her next words.
"Do you need something?" I ask in a defensive tone She only nods her head, still staring at me as if she was stuck in a trance.
"What?" I ask squinting my eyes, wishing she would stop looking at me.
"Are you and Blake like... a thing? Or do you prefer Brody?"She says with the world's most blank look on her make-up caked face.
"No" I turn back around, finished with whatever form of conversation that was. Where would she even get that idea from? If anything I was repulsed by Blake. Sure he was hot or whatever, but his cocky attitude is a huge turn off.
As for Brody, we were just friends..
"Just ignore her." I hear from the left side of me. Facing the voice, my eyes meat a pretty girl with dark red hair and mint green eyes.
"She's a complete idiot." She pauses "I'm Kendra." She says putting her hand out for me to shake .
"Valarie," I respond shaking her hand.
###
Once lunch rolled around Kendra convinced me to sit at her table with her friends Jena and Rebecca. They two girls were in what I presume to be softball uniforms. The girls were moderately attractive from what I could tell but overall they seemed really nice.
Half way through my meal I see Brody and Blake approaching my table. I hope they don't ruin my possible friendship with these girls. I can't spend the rest of my senior year just hanging out with what seems to be the two cutest boys in the school.
Blake is the first one to reach our table,he stops where we are seated and slams his tray down on our table. The other girls blush at the sight of him. I furrow my brows at them in response.
"Hey ladies. Mind if we join you?" He asks pointing to Brody but he somehow manages to keep his gaze on me.
They all shake their heads 'No'. I can't help but to glare at my possible friends .
"What do we have here?" Brody asks, snatching my plastic bowl of pancakes up off of the table.
"Hey!" I call out as he delves my fork into the meal that I was supposed to be enjoying this morning before he and Brody disturbed me.
"These are tasty." he says with a mouth full of my food.
Jumping up from the table I lunge at him. Only the result is the complete opposite of what I was expecting, when Blake's tray of spaghetti flips over and lands right in my lap.

After ten minutes of scrubbing I finally give up. My favorite pair of jeans are now ruined. Sighing, I slide down onto the cold bathroom floor.
Seconds later the girls bathroom door swings open with a slam, a tall slim girl with almond skin and curly hair enters, she seems furious, this girl looks vaguely familiar. It takes me a couple seconds to register her face and before I could say anything, I am greeted with a swift slap to my face.
"You Bitch!" She roars
