#2 Six Months Later

So today is reva's sangeet. I was sitting as our brothers were performing on the stage. The hall was huge with some of the guests sitting while some were standing near the food stalls, eating and enjoying the dance.

I was wearing a cyan colored saree with a jeweled bodice with my straight hair down and smokey eyes.

While Reva was wearing a gold floor lenght dress with sequins and embroidery. She had a dupatta draped over her right shoulder.

We all clapped as the song got over and the performers bowed. I was getting nervous because i was going to perform next. I have never dance in front of a huge crowd before and that too alone.

' - so now everyone is the most awaited performance. So may we call on the stage the maid of honor- amaya'

I gulped and went on the stage as everyone cheered. I caught a glimpse of my over excited best friends giving me a kiss before the music started playing. I tried thinking that i was alone as i moved to the music of tu cheez badi hai mast of the movie machine . And yeah!!! I got all the steps correct. The first song ended. And soon i was joined by reva and this was the surprise that we had planned for everyone. The music started and we went with the flow to nach dene saare of the movie baar baar dekho. Once we were done we laughed and bowed in front of the audience as they clapped and screamed. We got off the stage and reva went to hug her fiancé and i went near the water station. And that's when i saw him. How did he manage to get out of jail? He came near me and hugged me tightly. I tried to push him but he didn't budge.

'how did you enter? Leave me or
I'll call security!' i said. But he only chuckled.

'you will be mine one-day. ' he whispered in my ears. I looked around to see some people staring at us. And i closed my eyes as i realized what we must've been looking like. They must be thinking he is kissing me on my neck. Shit shit. I pushed him and this time he let go.

'be ready because your life is about to change. You sent me to jail now i will take my revenge!' he said and i pushed past him and went towards the back door.

I stopped on my way because some people were sitting there. I looked around but nope this was the only way.

'excuse me! I need to go there. ' i asked the girl as politely as i could be with my already sour mood. Instead of moving she narrowed her eyes and sat more leisurely.

' no! ' she spat.

' what the fuck. Listen here barbie. You better move on your own or i'll make you move by throwing you out of the hall. The choice is yours!' i hissed and moved forward placing my arms on hips.

'you bitch-' she was saying but was cut-off by the man sitting next to her.

'sharon!' he said. I now noticed him. Damn he was hot. I thought. But i quickly averted my eyes to see miss barbie pouting. She finally moved out of the way. I passed but not before putting her shoulder and muttering 'thanks brat!'

'amaya! ' i heard my father's voice.

' yes dad' i turned.

'come here. I need you to meet someone.' he said and turned to reveal the same man and sharon. I was amazed to see mr. Hot hug my dad. Um did i miss something? I have never seen them before. And of course i know my dad well.

'this is aanav singh. You must've heard about the bennsons. Well he is the owner of it. I know him and his siblings since they all were kids and aanav this is my daughter amaya.' he said. And aanav and i shook hands.
After i came to know that sharon was his sister and they both were shrey's brother and sister. After the introductions dad and i talked a little bit.

I went out and closed my eyes as cool breeze whipped my face. Thank god none of the guests were here only the decorators doing their work for tomorrow's mehndi. Small kids were playing around. The view was so breathtaking. The lawn was big and at the end there was a big pond. The lawn had beautiful flowers and trees on the remaining two sides. I came out of my trance when i heard crying. I looked around to see a little girl fallen on the ground, crying. I went up to her. She must be three years old. I offered her my hand. She scrutinized me at first but then her expression turned soft and she complied. We went and sat on the bench.

'what's your name, darling?' i asked her.

'ava. Your name? '

' amaya! '

' so do you want me to take you to your mom?'

'i don't have a mom!' she said as her expression saddened. Poor baby.

'even i don't have a mom'

'where did she go? ' she asked.

' you see there. That star. She became one star to put light to my darkness. But a part of her will always be here. ' I pointed to my heart. I don't know if she understood or not but she nodded.

' i don't have a dad too. Do you have your dad? ' she asked me.

' i do have. You can meet him if you want. '

' i want to. I do have a brother who is like my dad. I live with him and my other brother and sister. Wowww nice bracelet. ' she blabbered. I giggled and looked down at the bracelet it was a simple pearl bracelet with a heart in between and two stars on either side of the heart. I pulled it out and put it on her wrist.

' here. You keep this. ' i told her as she hugged me and went inside.

I was still sitting at the bench looking out towards the pond when someone put a hand on my shoulder. I jumped then I closed my eyes.

' reyansh-' i said.

'oh no it's not reyansh' an angry voice replied.
