#1 Prologue

'Oh my god!!!  Seriously?  I'm so happy for you!'  i rejoiced as Reva told me that she was getting married to her boyfriend shrey. 
' We went to meet his family and after the dinner he proposed and apparently my parents also knew about it.' she said as she sat on the kitchen counter and munched on the cupcakes that i was currently frosting.

'show me the ring!!' i asked as she scooted near me and showed me. 'it looks beautiful on you. Just be careful and please don't lose it.'  i said as she flicked me a finger. Well i am serious because believe me she has a habit of losing things. She tends to lose all the right things at the wrong time.

Reva is my best friend /cousin.  We've been close since we were toddlers. 
She was a year younger than me. We are known in our family for planning and plotting and we always ganged up on our brothers with our puppy dog faces.She and shrey had been together for six years now. We started a fashion business together as equal partners.  She had majored in business while i on the other hand pursued fashion.

' oh these are soo good' she moaned. 'shit i gotta run. We decided to meet to select the date and everything. And don't forget that you are designing all of my dresses.' reva chirped  as she grabbed the box full of cupcakes for shrey and ran out.

I laughed at her as i shifted my attention back to the cupcakes. So if she is getting married then that means that the months until her wedding will be the last months of us staying together. I was sure that things between us will not change -  never have and never will- but it won't be the same as living together.
I was so engrossed in my thoughts that i didn't realize that she had come back until she placed a hand on my shoulder.  I jumped.
'REVA-' i turned and stopped when i realized that it was not her. 
'what are you doing here? Leave me!' i said as i shrugged his hand off.
'i came to get what i wanted for so long,  Princess. ' reyansh replied coming closer. I was now irritated with him. He was stalking me for the past one month saying that he loved me and threatening me. I even reported him to the police but it was to no avail. 

' Fuck off reyansh before i call the police and they arrest your stalker ass' i pushed him but he grabbed my wrist and twisted hard.

'i love you, princess.  But you don't even give me what i want. So here i am to take what has been mine for so long.' he said with a smile of a lunatic.

'i'm not your princess!' i spat as he tried to cup my face i punched him in the face and kneed him where the sun doesn't shine. I sprinted leaving him doubled over.

I was running towards the front door. When he grabbed my leg and i fell face first hitting my head. He turned me on my back and slapped me hard. I blinked back the fireworks that were forming in front of my eyes. Damn it hurts and for the first time i was scared of him of what he will do. I wasn't able to move as he put all his weight on me and held both of my hands above my head.

'leave me!' i screamed but he covered my mouth with his hand and his other hand started pulling my shirt up.  I closed my eyes as he cupped my breast.

'you are so beautiful!!  I waited for this moment for so lo-' there was a huge thud and he stopped.  I opened my eyes to see blood flowing down his head and used this opportunity to push him off me as i scrambled to my feet.

Reva was there with an iron rod. Her eyes wide. She looked at me and blinked.
'holy mother of god!' she said. 'are you alright?' 
I nodded as i ran to get the duct tape from the cupboard. We managed to tie an unconscious reyansh and called the police.

When they arrived they arrested him and after we gave our statements they left. By now my cheek where he slapped me was swelling so reva handed me some ice to put on it. 

'thank you.  Thank you so much. I still can't shake off what happened.' i blabbered as she hugged me and calmed me down.

'why did you come back so fast?' i asked her after we talked nonsense for about an hour.

' yeah about that millie called and informed that there is one meeting with an important client that needs to be dealt right away so i came to get you!' she replied.  Millie is her assistant.  'but it' s fine if you want to rest. '

' no no i will come. I am fine now!  I'll go get ready. ' i got up and went to my room to change.
