yoongi woke up the next morning with the biggest smile on his face. he held up his hand, the sparkling ring on his finger glinting in the light that peeked through the curtains. next to him was a sleeping hoseok, arms wrapped tightly around his waist, his cheek smushed against his boyfriend's chest. he kissed his forehead gently, watching his lips quirk up, before wiggling out of his tight embrace.

a meowing hope ran up to him from her little cat bed in the corner, rubbing her face against his bare legs making him giggle. he pulled on a hoodie, shivering at how cold it was in their apartment. the thought made him smile even wider than before. he had always thought of hoseok as his home, but now having a home with the younger man was unbelievable.

when he made it to the kitchen he started working on breakfast, feeding his little furry baby who meowed loudly in thanks when he set her bowl down. then he was cracking eggs and mixing waffle batter, wanting to give hoseok breakfast in bed. the man deserved it with everything he had done for yoongi and how hard he had been working lately. and it was a message to him, that someday the raven haired boy would make an amazing house-husband.

he was settling the waffles down on a plate next to the eggs and bacon when two strong arms wrapped around him from behind making him squeak. hoseok kissed his cheek, humming softly as he did so, that sound itself extremely fond.

"baby," he cooed, nipping at his ear, making the smaller man shiver, "thank you for making breakfast."

"no problem." yoongi murmured tilting his head up to kiss hoseok's jaw, "it was the least i could do."

"how're you feeling? sore?" the dance instructor smirked, trailing a hand down to squeeze the other boy's butt with a chuckle.

"yes, actually." he huffed, rolling his eyes as he batted at his roaming hand. "thanks to you, mr. jung."

"you said you wanted me to go harder." he shrugged, as he passed him a full plate, dodging a playful slap from the other.

"sit down and eat your waffles." yoongi puffed out his cheeks, taking a seat next to his boyfriend who was already devouring the meal. "that mean it's good then?"

"your food is always good." hoseok murmured, poking his side just to hear him squeak. "what do you wanna do today?"

"i was hoping..." he trailed off, making wide eyes at the younger man. "since i'm officially moving in, if we could go shop for some stuff to make it more homey? to make it ours?"

"i would love to, baby." he reached over to squeeze his hand softly. "lemme guess, you wanna get rid of a few things?"

"i'm sorry hobi hobi but that couch is hideous." yoongi said, laughing at the over exaggerated sad face that hoseok gave him.

"why can't i ride in the cart?" the raven haired baby pouted up at his boyfriend, a little whine escaping him.

"because we need to put things in it." hoseok said simply, reaching out and pulling him in for a gentle kiss.

"like artwork," yoongi hummed happily into the kiss, settling down as he looked at the gold frames on display, "the walls are boring."

"i can fix that." the younger man laughed, hooking his chin over his shoulder, "i'll just make huge 24 x 7 posters of you and put them everywhere in the apartment."

"no." he said firmly, grabbing a pretty painting of a skyline to put in the cart. "i want people to think our place is cute not creepy."

"i love the sound of that." hoseok grinned happily, as they walked through the aisles, "our place."

"me too." yoongi smiled back just as wide, "i never thought i would be so domestic with anyone. but i like doing this stuff with you."

they continued to shop until their cart was almost full, even ordering a new couch to replace the older uglier one. they sat down on at least 20 sofas to try them out, yoongi even laying down to "test" them, and hoseok was sure he was gonna take a nap right there.

"hyung!" a soft voice called from behind them making yoongi squint an eye open. standing there, waving excitedly was jungkook, jimin who's pink hair had faded to blonde, and another boy they hadn't met before.

he pulled himself off of the couch and jimin stepped forward to hug him, squeezing gently. since meeting the younger boy, he had learned that he was an absolute sweetheart and they got along well. jungkook hugged him next, the tall, muscled teen had come by the house a few times to talk to yoongi about music and he looked up to him immensely. the more he got to know him, he saw that kookie was just a giant dork and he couldn't believe that he had gotten jealous of the kid.

"this is our friend taehyungie." jimin introduced the boy with bright red hair, who smiled brightly, eyes crinkling at the corners.

"nice to meet you." he chirped, waving excitedly.

"have you guys eaten lunch yet?" jungkook asked, smiling fondly when yoongi lazily pressed himself into hoseok's side.

"not yet." hoseok murmured, wrapping an arm around his baby's waist. "we came here to get some stuff for the apartment."

"let me treat you both to lunch?" he offered, "there's a really nice barbecue place down the street, hyung." taehyung waggled his eyebrows at the mention of bbq, and jimin looked at them with big puppy dogs eyes.

"i am kinda hungry." yoongi poked his growling tummy, looking up at hoseok. "plus i never turn down free food."

ten minutes later they all were squeezed into a booth in the back corner of the restaurant, laughing and deciding what to order.

it wasn't until yoongi lifted up a menu to read all the different options that taehyung gasped, eyes on the opal ring, the diamonds embedded shining under the table's lighting.

"are you guys engaged?" he asked with wide eyes, making jungkook choke on the cola he was sipping at.

"not yet." hoseok chuckled, reaching across to pat the coughing teen on the back. "it's a promise ring."

"it's so pretty." jimin cooed before turning to taehyung. "why haven't you bought me a ring, taetae?"

the older boy furrowed his brows, "we're not dating, chim."

"so?"

when the waitress came by it was to yoongi, jungkook, and hoseok hysterically laughing while taehyung scrolled through kay jewelers' website.

yoongi leaned his head onto his boyfriend's shoulder, snuggling close as they waited for food, ignoring jimin as he took a candid of them. he was hungry and tired from shopping earlier that day and he felt his headspace start to slip a bit. all he wanted to do was eat and take a nap with his daddy. but he was also the one who agreed to go out for lunch, so he stayed silent.

when they finally put the meat on the grill, hoseok took control over cooking the food, yoongi pouting when he moved. instead of whining, he turned and rested against jungkook, the teen pinching his cheek but letting him remain there. he kept the little entertained with the snow app, showing him all the different filters that made him giggle happily.

hoseok grinned as he started to serve out the food, watching jungkook throw his head back with laughter. no matter who it was, they all fell for yoongi's cuteness eventually.
