Soon Raman started recovering from his leg injury and the talk for their marriage started. Everybody seemed very excited about it and Raman was the most excited. He just wanted to have a simple wedding but his would-be in-laws wanted a proper one with all the ceremonies and the rituals intact.

The Iyers had come over to the Bhalla house to discuss about it. Both Raman and Ishita had sat there with their respective family without saying a word. They just sat there clueless as both their families got into a frenzied argument.

"Humari Ishu ka shaadi poore reeti riwaz ke saath hoga. (Our Ishu's marriage will happen with all the rituals.)" Madhu was adamant.

"Nahi jee. Humare puttar ki shaadi toh hum simple hi karana chahte. (We want a simple marriage for our son.)" said Toshi.

"Apke bête ki dusri shaadi hogi lekin Ishu ki toh pehli hai. Saare functions hone chahiye. That's it. (It's your son's second marriage. But it's first for our daughter. We want all the functions to happen.)" Vandu gave her verdict.

"Haan Bhalla ji. Humari Ishu ki pehli shaadi hai aur humne bohot sapne dekhe hai. (It's our daughter's first marriage and we have a lot of dreams)" requested Mr. Iyer.

"Apne bacho ke shaadi ka armaan sabko hota hai. Mai samajh sakta hu. (Everbody has a wish for their children's marriage. I can understand.)" Mr. Bhalla agreed.

"Toh shaadi humare hisaab se hi hogi. (So the wedding will happen according to us.)" Said Madhu.

"Oye...kya har baar tum logon ki marzi chalegi? (You can't do as you wish.)" asked Toshi.

"Aap toh simple shaadi chahte the na. toh ab kya hua? (You wanted a simple wedding. So what happened now?)" asked Vandu.

"Ab shaadi jab dhoom dhaam se kar rahe ho toh maze toh hum karenge hi. (Now when we have an extravagant wedding then we will definitely enjoy.) Naach gana toh zarur hoga, kyun Rinki? (Singing and Dancing will definitely happen.)" Romi announced. "Of course." confirmed Rinki.

"Naach gana matlab? (Singing and dancing means?)" Bala frowned.

"Matlab yeh ki sangeet zarur hoga. (That means sangeet will surely happen.)" Romi cleared.

"South Indian shaadiyon mein koi sangeet nahi hota. (There is no sangeet in south Indian wedding.)" said Madhu.

"Enough!" Raman shouted in the middle of their argument and got up. Ishita was shocked to see him irritated.

"Shaadi humari hai. Toh humse bhi humari marzi jaan lo. (It's our marriage. So please know our wish as well.)" He said gritting his teeth.

"Chal tu bataa puttar. Teri marzi kya hai. (Now you say son. What is your wish?)" said Toshi.

"Maa, mujhe simple shaadi chahiye. (Mom, I want a simple wedding.)" said Raman. "Sunn liya madrasan? Raman ko bhi simple hi chahiye. (Did you hear that? even Raman wants a simple wedding.)" Toshi smirked at Madhvi. And again the argument started.

"Arey bas karo yaar tum sab! (Now please shut it, everyone.)" Raman got even more irritated. There was pin drop silence after that.

He went and stood next to Ishita and asked, "Ishita, tum batavo. Tumhe kaisi shaadi chahiye? (Ishita, you say. How do you want it?)"

"Even I want a simple wedding Raman. But I can't say no to my parents." said Ishita looking down.

"Okay then, decided. Sangeet aur mehendi aap apne hisaab se kar lijiye maa. (Sangeet and Mehendi you do it according to you.)" Raman said looking at his mother.

He then looked at the Iyer's and continued to say, "Haldi aur shaadi aap apne hisaab se kar lijiye. (Haldi and wedding you do it according to you.) Now no more arguments."

"And what about the engagement?" asked Madhu.

"No engagement amma. Please." Ishita pleaded with her mother.

"Okay then. That's done." said Mr. Iyer.

Soon the dates were decided for each ceremony and everybody went on to plan for it. Ishita was planning something special for Raman in the upcoming Sangeet ceremony while Ruhi planned something for Ishita in the upcoming Mehendi ceremony.

I am so sorry for such a short update. I am very busy with my office work.
