Deanna's POV
Everything was going fine. Well other than the part that we're still floating in the middle of the ocean, with no help in sight.
This night was heading to a good start. Other than the part when Liz almost drowned.
But I'm trying a new method when I see the bright side of things.
Everyone was asleep. Well, everyone had at least one eye open... but that's not the point.
The main focus is that Niall Horan was trying to start a conversation with me. When I didn't know what to say, he would mention something else that was out of the blue, just to keep the conversation going. Ugh, it was so cute. I told him about me failing every class, my horrible mother, and retold the magneficent story on how I even ended up on this plane.
"How did you even know about the party?" Niall asked, with a big smile etched across his face.
"I ran into these boys when my school visited a museum, they thought I was hot, so they handed me a flyer that read,' COME TO THIS PARTY, CUZ IT WILL BE AWESOME!" I laughed. Niall laughed along with me.
"I eventually convinced Liz and Ally to sneak out with me, because 'you only live once' right?" I paused, "This is really all my fault... if it wasn't for me, we would be on this awesome safari right now," I looked down on to my fingers and picked at them. Niall placed his arm on my shoulder and rubbed my shoulder blade.
"What's your favorite movie?"
I raised an eyebrow and pulled away from him.
"Um......well that was random,"
Niall smirked and asked again. I sighed and thought for a moment. "My favorite movie... is....-"
And that's when everything started to go downhill.
Yes, I spotted a gigantic fin sticking out of the water, and I showed Niall. He tried not to flip out, but still managed to wake up Louis. Then Louis woke up Liam, and Liam then really DID flip out. He started to breathe heavily, and then started to scream.
And he is still screaming.
"SOMEONE PLEASE SHUT LIAM UP," Harry groaned with frustration. We were all trying to hold still, not to cause any movement in the raft. Not wanting to have another Liz incident right now.
"I HAVE THE RIGHT TO FREAK OUT! WE'RE GOING TO DIE!" He screamed that once again. No matter what we say to him, he would just repeat that we were going to die.
Not very comforting.
"LIAM IF YOU DONT SHUT UP IM GOING TO PUNCH YOU IN THE THROAT!" Liz shrieked at him. And somehow, he listened to her. He closed his mouth, and stopped screaming. I glanced over at Liz, who seemed very impressed with herself.
After Liam took multiple deep breaths, he whispered, "What are we going to do?"
I shifted to my side and tried to have a better look at the sharks. They weren't massive, but probably the size of me and half of Niall put together.
I used to be afraid of them, like two minutes ago I had an urge to jump into the water and get it over with. But now, they didn't seem too crazy. They weren't even trying to kill us.
They were probably only here because there was blood in the water.
Blood.
"Who's bleeding?" I screamed. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy.
"There is blood in the water! We attracted the sharks!" I repeated only a little bit more tension in my voice.
"Figure out where the blood is coming from!" I said.
We started to inspect ourselves, to make sure that there was no gigantic wound that we missed. I ran my fingers down my legs, and sighed with relief when I didn't feel anything bad. My arms were okay, and I had no injuries on my stomach. "It's not coming from me," I breathed out.
"Can you check my back?" Niall asked while he lifted up his shirt.
I gulped.
"Of course..." I sputtered, as he hunched over. I placed my hand on his band and rubbed it across. I tried not to stare at his back muscles, so I closed my eyes. I bet one million dollars that any girl would trade places with me.
"Are there any cuts? I remember scratching against something when I tried to get out of the plane," He said. I did one more sweep across his back and shrugged.
"You seem fine, just some scratches, but no blood," I patted his back and helped him put his shredded shirt back on.
"Guys, the sharks are starting to get a little crazy, they are getting a little bit too excited," Harry said worriedly.
"Just find where the blood is coming from so we can st-"
"OH MY GOD!" Ally cut Liam off. Her face looked pale, and her mouth was trembling.
I followed her gaze.
"Louis, why didn't you tell us?" I gawked.
Louis was holding up his shirt, revealing a gigantic cut spreading across his rib cage. Red blood was dripping down the side, and streaming down into the dark ocean. So it was him.
"Didn't you feel it?" Harry gaped. Louis shook his head an touched the open wound. He immediatley pulled back and winced. "I need stitches," He mumbled.
"When help comes, they will give you stitches," Liz smiled and gently patted his back.
"I think we should stop promising things, because the rescue team would just find seven bodies with half of their stomach bitten off"! I screamed. Everyone hushed. "Sorry," I mumbled.
Suddenly, Liam swiftly yanked off a piece of the raft. The whole raft shifted, and made everyone lose their balance. "Liam! Do you want us to swim with the sharks?" Ally yelled. He smirked and yanked off another piece of the raft.
"He's ripping this raft to shreds! Are you insane?" Niall hollered. Liam ignored him, and lunged one of the chunks at Harry.
"What am I supposed to do with this?" Harry said puzzled. Liam crawled to the right side of the raft and stuck the piece in the water.
"You paddle,"
