Let me tell you, shopping is hard as a girl. And this isn't coming off some tumblr quote, it's coming from me.

I've been in this store for the past 20 minuets and all I could find was a bikini that looked like it came out of a Playboy magazine. There is no way I could wear that and make a good first impression.

Sighing, I gave up and left the store. Eventually coming across a store where I could find a decent bathing suit. I grabbed it and paid for it.

If you go to the mall, you can never go wrong with a strawberry banana smoothie. Like never. The cold drink already had my mouth watering.

I walked up to the counter to find a cute guy taking my order. He smiled as I ordered my drink. Handing him the cash, I grabbed my drink and turned around.

Taking 2 steps, and crashed into something hard. Not a wall, but I look up to see a boy with chocolate brown hair staring down at me.

I looked down at my white romper to see pink stains now covering up the white.

"You got to be fucking kidding me" I muttered as I looked down at my romper.

"Next time watch where you're going pumpkin, maybe you won't ruin your clothes." he said and gave a cheap side smile. The one that makes your insides feel like butterflies.

Cheap, I said cheap. That smile was definitely fake. Every bit of it.

"I'm sorry asshole, if you hadn't been in my way, maybe I wouldn't have ran into you." I couldn't help but be mad. It was definitely his fault.

"My fault?" He laughed. He looked down at me in complete amazement. Like it wasn't his fault at all for bumping into me. He's truly an asshole. And when I say it, I mean it.

Shaking my head, I walked off. People like him happen to drive me crazy. Why can't he respect the fact he made the mistake? Some guys are just assholes. Plain. Assholes.

Finally making it back to the house. I pulled the blue Lexus back in the drive way. I have to admit, the cars down here are way better than my moms beetle. Not to mention that the beetle tends to fall apart all the time.

Dad and Sophia must have beat me home, because their car is parked vertically in the drive way in front of me. Not for sure what time the pool party and picnic is supposed to begin, I walk inside the beautiful house.

"Welcome back sweetheart!" Sophia chimed from the kitchen, giving a soft wave. She's honestly so nice, I always thought a stepmom would be the worst, but after meeting her. I was wrong.

"Hey guys, I'm sorry I'm later than expected. I couldn't find my way back to the house." I replied as I entered the luxury kitchen. It smelt like delicious food was being made. I happen to be a major food lover myself.

"Don't sweat it. The Picnic should start in about 30 minuets. The boys are coming over here quite soon." She said as she sliced an onion. Drying under her eyes after each slice.

"I believe Carter has a few of his friends over this weekend, and they're coming over here with him" my dad pitched in from the dining room table. He glanced up from his computer and went right back to work.

"That's a perfect opportunity for you to meet some kids at your new school!" Sophia smiled. She seemed very enthusiastic about me meeting new friends.

I nodded my head in agreement, and headed upstairs. I'm not quite fond of the idea of spending my whole night with a group of guys. I'd rather watch some Netflix, and take one of those hot bubble baths with a bath bomb. Sounds completely relaxing in my opinion.

School starts after the weekend is over, and I'm not looking forward to new people. The new kid isn't the best possible position to be in.

Not to mention guys tend to be dicks. Almost every guy is either a player or a jerk. There is no Prince Charming in reality.

I grabbed my orange swimsuit. I figured since I have long brown hair, a orange swimsuit would definitely "pop".

I slid it on after undressing from my messy romper. Kind of surprised Sophia didn't ask what happened. That stupid asshole. I honestly don't know what he was thinking. If I see him again, I'm definitely going to give him a piece of my mind.

20 minuets later, and I'm still trying to figure out how to unlock the bathroom door.

Let me explain. I'm not stupid, I just happened to walk into the bathroom, shut the door. And now it's locked. You'd think there would be a little click that would unlock the door right? Nope. I'm stuck. In a bathroom. In a orange bikini. By myself. Great.

Moments later, I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I figured I'd bang on the door to hint to someone I'm a crazy girl, stuck in the bathroom. But my train of thought is interrupted by the door smacking me straight in the face, and my body to go crashed down to the nice, cold bathroom floor.

Thanks to the blonde haired guy who is standing above me staring down at me in confusion.

"What the hell?" I managed to spit out, while I put my hand on the spot of my head that was now throbbing in pain.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were up here. Sophia told me the bathroom up here was nicer, and I could come use it. I don't even know who you are!" The boy rambled on. I stood up from the floor. Grabbing onto the counter for support. The boy grabbed my waist and helped steady me out. I smacked his hand away in return.

"It's fine, I'm Clarissa. And you are?" I stuck my hand out to him. Why not be polite to the asshole who just knocked me down with the door, right?

"I'm Mason Andrews. I'm a close friend of Carter. I assume you just moved here?" He said. He rubbed the back of his neck in confusion.

"Yeah, all the way from St.Louis Missouri. Quite a ways away." I gave a small smile. The small talk is always the worst part.

"Well, the pool party is about to begin. I take that you're going to it by the swimsuit?" He looked down at my body, smirking as doing so. Boys. I told you, they're always gonna be jerks.

I covered up the top part of my swimsuit by crossing my arms.

"Yeah, I'm heading down now." I pushed past him and headed down the stairs.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, I found 2 guys standing in the kitchen searching for something in the fridge. One of them looked up at me, and nudged the other one. He managed to bump his head on the fridge door on the way up.

I laughed and shook my head as I walked towards the sliding glass door that led to the backyard. The pool was huge! It was like the size of my backyard at home. They even had a guesthouse, out in the back. It was incredible.

My mom came by and greeted the oncoming guest.

"There you are darling. I was beginning to think you got lost in the house!" She said as she approached me. I laughed and waved to my dad who was waving at me.

As me and Sophia were standing there talking about the party, the boy that I saw from the window earlier came walking over to us.

"Carter!" Sophia said, while she gave him a small heart warming hug.

"Hello Mrs.Kellins!" Carter said as gave her a smile.

"This is my stepdaughter Clarissa Williams. She's staying with me and Michael until the school year is over. She's going to attend your high school at the start of the week." She said, and he gave her a small nod. He kept glancing over at me and giving small smirks.

And so the trouble is definitely bound to begin..
