Let the fun begin. Was the last thing I heard before I was somehow trampled into the water.
Let me restart from the beginning. To the part when I first met carter, to now being in the pool completely soaked.
"Hi. I'm Carter Jensen." He said. I couldn't help but look at him. He's definitely a football player. Or basketball player I thought to myself. Just the way the guy shows off.
"You guys have fun. I'm going to go refill my drink!" Sophia gave a small wave to the both of us and walked away. Leaving me alone with this stranger.
Maybe if I started yelling stranger danger he'd go away? That'd be a little awkward though, I have to admit.
"Well Clarissa Williams, how are you liking California so far?" He looked down at me. Not to mention the fact that he's like six foot and I'm standing here five foot five.
"It's been pretty great as far as I've seen. I haven't even been here for a full day, and I've met quite a few people" I replied. I glanced around the backyard. Noticing the new guest arriving. I guess this pool party tends to be a big thing in the neighborhood.
"That's great, I think you'll like the new school." He said. He seems nervous in a way. Like something is throwing him off.
He keeps looking behind me. Stealing glances here and there.
I hear my dad yelling across the yard my name, and I look over only to find myself being picked up from around the waist, thrown over a stern shoulder and plunged right down into the ice cold pool. In just a matter of seconds, my whole nice, clean body is now drenched in water. Thanks to whoever the hell did this. You will pay.
Underwater. The best part about the pool. You can feel all the coldness absorb around your body. And the anger and rage pound threw your blood vessels. What a lovely feeling.
I rise up above the water to find Carter and another guy laughing their asses off. Do they think this is funny?
"Are you serious?" I yelled. This can't be happening. I'm not mad, in a way I'm more curious as to how I'm going to get them back. Payback tends to be the best part of a prank. They never expect what's coming. And it makes the best of it.
"You should have seen the look on your face when Tyson picked you up. You looked so scared and displeased at the same time. It was priceless." Carter said through out laughing. His friend joining in on the laughter.
"You're dead Jensen. And when I make that threat, I mean it." I replied, getting out of the pool. I found a towel next to the pool and tried to dry myself off with it. Which didn't work out as planned, considering it was soaked from the water that must have splashed onto it.
I honestly can't believe that jerk. I'm going to get him back. One way or another. And he definitely won't be expecting it, at all.

The party is finally over, and let's just say I'm happy. I finally get to get into my oversized hoodie and shorts and go to bed. It's always the best part of the day. Just thinking of the warm comforts of the queen sized bed upstairs.
I walked upstairs after yelling goodnight to my parents, and grabbed my earbuds off my dresser. I plugged them into my phone and put the seashells in my ear. Undressing from the cold bathing suit and putting on a hoodie is one of the best feelings in your life.
I lay down on my bed and flip off my light. 1 more day. Then I head to school. I'm pretty stressed out about it. It seems like such a big deal, and I'm probably overthinking it.
