She came that morning
With a million smiles and hearts
But when people
Showed her that they didn't care
She didn't care
But then she did
She was no longer
A beautiful
Strong
Loony
Determined
Happy
Thoughtful
Friendly
Little
Girl
And when they were mean
She asked why
And your response made her cry even harder
Mommy, why doesn't someone teach them to care? It's so sad! Why can't they care?
