Chapter 1

Your P.O.V
Jungkook I stepped out of the office and walked out into the hallway.

"It's been a while Hae Eun" jungkook said as we walked.

" It has and I have been doing great not seeing you," I retorted as he laughed quietly to himself.

Ugh, seriously I felt bad being this rude but I had good reason to.

Back in medical school, I had been competing with Jungkook for the spot of top student, so he became my 'enemy' you could say.

Not only that, but he would play pranks on me all the time, from tripping me to stealing my things.

I mean, I'm not one to hate people easily but him pranking me every day got on my nerves.

So, I guess you can understand why I was less than elated to see his face again.

"Yah, Hae Eun, you don't have to be so mean right?" He said pouting in fake sadness. I rolled my eyes as I proceeded to show him around the hospital.

"So that concludes the tour," I said as I showed him the last of the hospital, the staff room.

"What now?" He asked

"Now, we get to the real stuff, the operations." I answered as I went up to the big whiteboard with the schedules of the different doctors.

" We have an operation coming up in an hour, so you can do whatever you want for now. Just make sure to be at the operating room 10 minutes before kay'?" I said as I walked off, leaving him alone.

"Yah! Where are you going?"he asked.

"I'm going to rest, if you didn't know, I was about to go to sleep before having to meet you,"I sassed back as I continued walking away.

Jungkook's P.O.V

"Aish jinjja this girl," I muttered to myself as I smiled and shook my head seeing her walk away.

I guess Hae Eun still hates me. I understand why. I had been really bad to her in the past, if I were her I would hate me too.

But I only did that because I liked her. I know, I know that it was dumb of me to be so mean to the person I liked. But, it's better than stuttering and being flustered infront of her right?

After graduating, I thought that my feelings would go away but seeing her just made me feel even more for her.

She had grown into a beautiful women and I regret that I had treated her that way in the past.

That's why I would treat her better this time around and then maybe, something good would happen.

Your P.O.V

"Yah, you're late," I said as I tapped my foot impatiently on the floor.

"I'm sorry, I got a little lost," jungkook apologized as he ran up to me.

I opened the door to the operating room and instructed,

"Jungkook, you'll be doing most of the work for this operation so I can get to know your skills. I'll be here if you need any help,"

He nodded as he proceeded to start the operation. I had to admit, he was doing very well and was very quick. No matter how much I hated him, I still had to say that he did a good job.

1 hour later

"The operation's done, good job everyone!" Jungkook said as we exited the room.

"Good job Jungkook," I said as we washed out hands.

"Thanks, I didn't think you would say that, I thought you hated me,"

"Yah, be glad I congratulated you ok," I said as I rolled my eyes.

"Come on, let's go get lunch," I said as we headed to the cafeteria.

"Here, eat some more," Jungkook said as he put some more food onto my plate.

My heart skipped a beat when he did this.

So, remember how I hated him?Well I also had a major crush on him in our first year of medical school.

He was handsome and smart and good at everything, how could I not like him?Well, that all changed when he started bullying me.

I promised myself I would never fall for him again, that's why I was being rude to him. I was building up my defences against him.

"T-thanks" I managed to get out as I continued eating, trying not to be rude.

We finished lunch and went to get ready for our last operation for the day.

Time skip

" *Yawn* ahh I'm tired, I can't believe I have to take the bus home, I don't want to walk to the bus stop," I complained as I packed up my stuff.

"I could drive you," Jungkook offered.

I would've rejected but I was really too lazy to take the bus so I accepted his offer, much to his delight.

We chatted on the way, mostly about memories in medical school. I found myself laughing with him a lot.  Had Jungkook changed? He was being so nice...

" So,Hae Eun, I was thinking. Could we be friends? I know we didn't have the greatest past, but since we'll be working together, we shouldn't be hating each other all the time."

I know I promised myself not to fall for him, but that didn't mean I couldn't be his friend. Right?

"Alright, just don't start playing pranks on me again got it?" I agreed as Jungkook smiled widely, resembling a bunny.

"Thanks Hae Eun. I can't promise that I'll not prank you though," Jungkook teased as I rolled my eyes and looked out the window, sitting in comfortable silence all the way home.
