Chapter 11

Your P.O.V

"What should we do now?" I asked as Jungkook and I walked out of the hospital.

We had finished our last presentation and we had the rest of the day free.

"How about we go the park?" Jungkook suggested.

"Eh? Why, don't you want to go somewhere nicer on your last day?" I asked.

"But don't couples go there together?" Jungkook said as he held my hand.

"Yah yah yah! Mwo? Couples? Last time I checked we were not a couple!" I exclaimed as I shook off my hand from his grip.

"And the last time I checked, I made my wish at 4 p.m yesterday. It's only 12 p.m" Jungkook said with a smirk as he held my hand again.

"Aish are you kidding me? What kind of logic is that?" I said as I rolled my eyes.

"But fine, since I promised," I said as I swung our intertwined hands up and down.

We walked to the park and saw children playing on the swings.

"Ahh!"

A shout came from a little boy who fell off the swing. Jungkook and I ran towards him.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook asked concerned.

But the child wouldn't stop crying. Jungkook and I exchanged a glance wondering what to do.

Jungkook then started to make funny faced in hopes of cheering the kid up. He earned giggles from both the boy and me.

"Hyuk Chan-ah!" A voice called out.

"Eomma!" The boy shouted as he ran towards his mother.

"Thank you for taking care of my son," the lady thanked.

We chatted for a while and even found out she was korean.

We parted ways and Jungkook and I continued strolling through the park.

We walked pass a man selling ice cream in a cart and decided to buy some.

Vanilla for me and coconut for Jungkook.

"Mmh, this ice cream is good," I said.

"How did you manage to get the ice cream your face?" Jungkook chuckled.

"Huh? Where?" I exclaimed as I tried to wipe it off.

Suddenly, Jungkook leaned in close to me. I could feel his breath against my cheek as he said,

"Right there, seriously how did you eat that ice cream?"

My face heated up as I desperately ate my ice cream in hopes of cooling myself down.

"What do you do now? You have about..." I checked my phone,

"2 hours till' 4 p.m"

Jungkook seemed to think for awhile.

"Up for a walk on the beach?"

"Ahh, of course you choose something cheesy for your last hours," I teased though I secretly loved the thought of it.

We walked to the beach that was nearby. We took our shoes off and stepped into the sand.

I wiggled my toes in the warm sand and started to walk to the sea.

The waves crashed as the wind blew through my hair. Jungkook soon came up behind me and grabbed me by the waist.

Before I could even start blushing, he lifted me up as if I was as light as a feather.

"Yah! Yah! What are you doing! Jeon Jungkook put me down! I swear you little-" I got cut off as h covered my mouth with his hand.

"Nice girls shouldn't curse. Much less a doctor"

"I can say what I want! Anyways, I wasn't going to curse, I was going to call you a... Coconut head!"

Jungkook stared at me with the most perplexed expression as he started to laugh.

Jungkook carried me back to the beach and we continued to walk along the beach.

"Wait here a second ok?" Jungkook said as he ran off leaving me alone on the beach.

He soon came bad with a large plastic bag. He took out a picnic mat and laid it on the sand. I sat down as he opened the umbrella to block out the sunlight.

He dumped the rest of the contents and an abundance of snacks fell out.

My eyes widened in excitement as I opened a bag of chips and stuffed them in my mouth.

Jungkook gave me and amused look.

"What, a girl's gotta eat?"

He laughed as he joked,

"Aigoo, so I buy you food and you become more in love with me?"

I nodded my head as I smiled.

Jungkook sat down beside me as he took the chips and started eating.

I leaned against him and let out a sigh. We stayed in comfortable silence, leaving myself to my own thoughts.

A pang of guilt hit me as I thought of Taehyung. But I assured myself that everything will return back to normal tomorrow once we return back to Seoul.

But for now, I decided to live in the moment.

I closed my eyes and the sound of the crashing waves lulled me to sleep.

Jungkook's P.O.V

"Hae Eun-ah I- oh she fell asleep already," I said as I looked at Hae Eun.

"Aigoo, she must be tired to need to sleep so much," I remarked as I looked back at the ocean.

I started to sing softly to Hae Eun, though she couldn't hear me. I stopped halfway and let out a sigh,

"I love you Hae Eun-ah,"

"I love you too Jungkook," she mumbled in her sleep.

I stared at her wide eyed. She loved me! She said it!

To be honest, I sort of knew that she did, but this was conformation. This were the words I had been waiting to hear.

I knew what I was going to do now.
