Every year on this particular day I spent it with my family, but the day when I was taken into an orphanage my family were no longer here. I had to become friends with unfamiliar people, and children, who soon became my family.
Even though I could no longer spend my birthday with my parents, the people at the orphanage still tried their best. The children would sing, as they brought a cake and a small gift for me.
I still have the gifts I was given and the cards which were given to me all these years growing up there. They always bring tears to my eyes now and then.
After meeting Jungkook and marrying him I no longer spend my birthdays thinking I'm alone. I have a new family. Before we got married he'd always take me on a surprise date making it seem he had forgotten my birthday. He's done the same after we've married.
I know he's been busy with work but he always makes time for me, but this year...
It's already past midnight... my birthday has ended a while ago... and he's still not home...
He hasn't even texted or called me...
For the first time, in a long time... I spent my birthday, alone...
