Matthew couldn't believe that he just waited in the car while his sister was being kidnapped. That he had just sat there with his mouth open in awe. He felt like a coward. Why couldn't he act like Indiana Jones and swoop in and save her?

He knew why.

It was the man that took Nova. It was the same man that abducted Casa. The man who frightened him when he was ten. He takes what he wants when he wants and tells information that isn't his to tell. Matt couldn't help but hope that Nova didn't find out the secrets her family had kept from her.  She didn't need to know though. Well, maybe she did. The secrets they kept from her, involved her life. Big Time. The Cabot family probably should have told Nova her past in order for her to know what's happening in her life.

That she's going back to the labs.

Nova felt pain in her arm as the men pulled her into the car. She saw the syringe being pressed into her skin and she felt the clear liquid being pumped into her blood stream.  Her limbs were shaking in fear and anger. What were these men doing to her and why? She didn't know. She couldn't feel her body anymore and her vision went blurry. Nova couldn't see, feel, or touch anymore. She couldn't move. She could only listen to her captors.

"That should keep her sedated long enough for us to get to the labs. She won't be putting up a fight anymore."

The speaker's voice was like a brass instrument, deep and masculine. The next person who talked had a sinister voice.

"Good. I don't want her to fight against the scientists and medics as they strap her down to the table. She can be rather...problematic. Remember?"

"I do remember sir, she..." The Captors voices dwindled away as Nova fell into a slumber.

She awoke three hours later in a white room that had glass walls. On one side there was a room with bars. Next to her there was a monitor, stating her heart rate and several other things Nova didn't understand. She thrashed against the chains binding her to a metal table. It was cold underneath the thin white shirt and pants that she was now wearing. With nothing interesting to look at, her mind began to wonder.

What if her sister was strapped to a table like this as well? What if she had been locked in a prison cell like the one they have on the other side of the room? What if she is a lab experiment just like me?

Nova couldn't think like that any longer. She already had a headache and a gut feeling that the scientists weren't going to let her sleep for the next few days. Best to catch up on her sleep know she thought, and out she went. An image of a little blonde girl with green eyes reaching out to her flashed beneath her eyelids.
