Chapter Seven
Tristan's POV
I ran around the corner and laid my head on the wall. Trevor buzzed me on my watch. "Tristan, I've located the princess. You need to hurry, fast." Trevor said through the walky-talkie part of the watch. I clicked the walky-talkie part of my watch. "Yeah, coming." I blurted. I clicked my map button to locate where Trevor was. I continued walking back to the ballroom.
I can't believe Nate did that! Is he jealous of Caleb or something? That was so random! Just, why? What did I do to deserve this? Nate's supposed to be my best friend! Is what everyone saying true? I think he only "likes" me because everyone's childish.
Come on, Tristan. Focus. Forget about Nate. You need to move on and focus on the mission. Which is more important to you, Tristan? Nate or your dream to become a true agent?
Wow, you're really struggling with this whole "focus" thing.
I walked over to the ballroom floor an noticed Trevor and Daisy. The princess was dancing with the king.
I spun over and placed the chip on her back. I walked away to head up the stairs. I clicked the walky-talkie button on my watch. "Chip in place, Zack." I said. I walked half way up the stairs and looked back.
Good, Nate's nowhere around.
I walked up to the hallway that led to the princess's room. "Zack? Hey, did you get my message?" I called out, walking in. He slammed his computer down when he noticed me.
"Hey, yeah! I think the crafters are here! So get back down there! Bring the princess here. Quick!" He said shoo-ing me away. I ran back down the stairs and six people were standing in the middle of the ballroom. They were wearing black.
"Crafters." I ran back down the stairs and into the ballroom. I ran over to the control panel and shut down the lights in the ballroom. I ran over to the DJ station and grabbed the mic. "Hey, there everybody! We're having some technical difficulties. How about everybody party on the patio?" Everyone went running, cheering for the well-lit patio.
Two of the crafters shot guns in the air.
Obviously being assholes to scare the shit out of everyone.
A bright beam came shooting out of nowhere. I heard two female screams.
I ran through people to get the the screams. The queen was on the ground! She had a black hole where her stomach should've been. The princess was standing next to her in utter shock.
"She jumped in front of me." She muttered. Her tears had stained her pretty pink cheeks. I grabbed her hand. "Come with me!" I began running towards the stairs.
These crafters are rouge. They're despicable! A boy raced after us up the stairs. He was definitely one of the rouges. I pushed the princess ahead of me up the stairs.
He grabbed me but I caught his arm. I did a turn-kick straight to his neck. He fell down the stairs. I chased after the princess up to her room when there was a girl standing on the outside. "Princess Aurora! How nice to see you!" The girl smiled. I stepped in front of her. "Get away from here." I blurted.
Note-to-self: Intimidating lines need more work.
The girl stepped forward and started to kneel. She's transforming. "A tiger!" the princess screamed. I turned the door knob and pushed the princess in her room. The tiger knocked me down and I tried to hold her off. I pushed her mouth away from my head and kept fighting her off.
