Chapter Eight

Tristan's POV

I was standing in mist. Where the heck am I? "Step forward." Said a booming voice. I did as I was told. A bright light shined in my eyes. I held my hands up so it wouldn't burn as much as it really did. The light dimmed and there was a box with a glass screen and a red telephone just waiting for me.

A chair flew in, taking me by my feet, forcing me to sit in it. I zoomed into the box and there was a familiar face. I grabbed a red telephone that was off to the side. "Uncle Danny!" I screamed. "Hey, button." He smirked. "How are you? I miss you. Are you okay?" I ask. "You don't have much time, Tristan. You need to find the Book of Tales. It should be in the Grand Library back at HQ. It tells you everything you'll need to know. You're life depends on it. You'll need to know about this storm that's coming your way." Uncle Danny explained.

"What do you mean?" I asked. He raised his hand to the glass. He was fading away!

"No! Uncle Danny! Please! Come back!" I screamed.

"Don't forget me." He smiled, fading away.

The chair flipped back and the floor swallowed me up. I screamed at the top of my lungs. I shut my eyes.

Everything stood still. I opened one eye and I was laying in a glass bowl. I sat up. Trapping me inside came waves of water, drowning me. The bowl shook and the water went back into the sky.

I was sitting outside and looked up at the clouds. Everything started shaking and it seemed like the sky was falling in. I began sprinting away. There was a door that was wide open across the field. Suddenly, Zack's were chasing after me with guns in hand. A hand was held out in the door and I latched on to it. All I could hear was someone shouting my name as everything came crumbling down. The hand pulled me in the door.

A bright light pierced my eyes and I gasped waking up to Nate shaking me in our hotel room. "Tristan, wake up!" he whispered shaking me by my shoulders. My body reacted faster than my brain could process and I punched Nate right in the nose! "Ow!" He exclaimed, falling to the floor. I kneeled down next to him.

"Nate, are you okay?" I laughed.

Wait, I'm mad at him.

"You almost broke my nose!" he said. "But the keyword is almost." I said patting him on the shoulder. "You seriously almost broke my nose." He complained. I stood up and held my hand out. He grabbed it and I pulled him up. "Men are such babies." I mutter. Rain was coming down hard.

I looked at the clock.

Midnight.

"Tristan, listen. I think I heard voices coming from Daisy and Trevor's room." Nate explained. I gave him a funny look. "Was it Daisy and Trevor?" I smirk. Nate went and opened the window. "You gotta trust me on this, Tristan. It sounded like the girl and guy from earlier." He said.

"Nate, stop messing around." I crossed my arms. I heard footsteps coming closer to the door. Nate grabbed me and pulled me under my bed with him. The door flew open with a huge thud. Nate grabbed me, covered my mouth, and held me close. I covered his mouth too.

"I thought I heard a noise." It was a girl's voice that sounded nothing like Daisy. My body clenched. It was definitely that Crystal girl from earlier. "Check out the bathroom and the closet. Find the princess. If we don't find that little bitch you know Virus is gonna be on our asses." The guy said. Sounded just like the guy from earlier.

They're rouges. I should have known. Why didn't I guess it before? God, I really am an idiot. "I wonder where that girl is. She's probably knocked out somewhere after I used that sleeping potion lipstick." Crystal laughed. "Yeah, but it probably didn't work since she wiped it off as soon as you kissed her." The guy said. "True. But she was a good kisser. We just gotta find her. Maybe she knows where the princess is." Crystal said. Oh, god. "Wait, the window is open. Lucky bastards got out my reach today." She chuckled.
