Spectrum's POV:

After delivering the gigantic bundle of fresh moss for the prisoners, Spectrum blinked into the main clearing. No one had noticed her assisting the Clan warriors thanks to her teleporting ability. It was as if she had never walked in in the first place.

Even Zephyr was oblivious to her actions. What a moron. The black furred she cat rolled her eyes at the grey Promethean as he strolled calmly to the prey pile for a meal. He didn't suspect a thing. This is too easy.

Spectrum decided to go on a hunt. She still needed to keep up her act as Enforcer of the Dark Forest. If she could at least provide then with plentiful prey, no one would care.

But as the black furred Promethean left camp, preparing to blink outside of the territory to more prey-plenty lands, she felt a presense behind her. "Zephyr." She sighed, turning slowly around to glare at the grey furred Enforcer. "What do you want?"

"I noticed you were with the prisoners." Zephyr meowed with a shrug. "I just wanted to make sure your loyal to us. I won't tolerate you being the next Shadeheart."

Spectrum snorted with laughter, but in her mind she was starting to panic. Had she ruined her chance at getting into the Dark Forest's inner circle? Was Zephyr going to get her kicked out? Killed even? "I'm loyal." She muttered, her voice shaking slightly. "I was just-"

"Helping the prisoners? Planning an escape for them?" Zephyr guessed, a growl in his voice. "Don't lie to me, I could kill you right now if I wanted to."

"You wouldn't." Spectrum hissed, her ears flattening. "I wouldn't let you anyway."

The tom laughed. "Alright, Spectrum, I won't kill you.. As long as you do a deal with me."

"A deal?" She scoffed. "You're not stooping that low, are you?"

"Stooping low?" He mocked her voice with a slight chuckle. "Who said we weren't already there? Come on Spectrum, I know you have a thing for deals, especially when they cause chaos." He smirked at the black she cat's ears perked in interest.

"What kind of deal is it?" Spectrum demanded, tapping her paws on the ground impatiently. If he was just wasting her time, she needed to get out quickly.

"It's quite simple, really. I just want you to do some favours for me when I ask, and in return I won't get you killed." The grey Promethean smiled at her. "Win-win."

"Oh sure." Spectrum snorted, her pale eyes narrowed. "So you want me to become your little.. servant? No thanks."

"You won't be a servant." Zephyr laughed, his red eyes rolling as if she had just told him the funniest joke he had ever heard. "You'll be more like.. A friend.. A partner in crime, if you will. Someone who'll be by my side, instead of being an enemy."

"A friend, huh?" Spectrum shifted her paws, her whiskers twitching. "Doesn't seem likely."

"I'm sure we can make it work. All I want is for you to run some errands for me when I ask you to. It's not that complicated, and no one needs to know anything about it." Zephyr offered Spectrum a winning smile, her tail stirring the leaves around them.

The black furred she cat sighed. "You've found my weak spot for mischief."

"And for making deals. I know you love those." His lips formed a wide grin.

"Brings excitement, don't you think?" Spectrum mewed, rolling her eyes slightly.

"Yes.. So we're doing this?" Zephyr took a step closer to Spectrum, so that they were barely a mouse-length apart. "The deal is on?"

"It is." She nodded before blinking away with a slight chuckle. Oh, he has no idea that I always end up breaking my deals...
