Chapter 21: Are you embarrassed?

Skylar's POV

I look around at the guys. One of them seems familiar. He stares back at me. "Sky! This is Harry, Niall, Zayn, and Liam!" All the guys wave and say hello to me. But, Liam, was it? He runs back to his dressing room. I greet and meet all the boys. Then, they all leave and it's just me and Louis. "So, Lou, why are you in a recording studio?" I say finally turning to him. "Well... Have you ever hear of the boy band, One Direction?" I shake my head, and shrug my shoulders. "Oh well, they are a British/ Irish boy band that formed in 2010 in the XFactor in the UK. and all the guys you just met, and including myself are in that band." I slowly nod. "Wait. Are you Louis Tomlinson?" I ask. "Yes! Yes, I am!" He responds. "Oh. My niece, is absolutely obsessed with all of you." I say. "Oh, well that's really cool and nice, I would love to meet her." He says. I smile, and nod. Finally, i speak. "So, uh... Why didn't you tell me?" I ask. "Well, i just thought that if i told you i was from one direction that you would go and tell all of your friends, and then all the media would know, and well that would just be chaos since you and I aren't even dating, you know?" I slowly nod again. That was a bit hurtful. Is he embarrassed to be seen in public with me? "I-uh- I need to go." I say. I turn my heel and walk out of the door without letting him say one more word. The cool air hits me, and i race to my car. I feel one tear race down my cheek and before I let another one fall I pull out of the parking lot and go home.

Louis's POV

She runs out of the studio without letting me say one more word. "SKYLAR! WAIT!" I yell after her but she doesnt look back. I go sit down on the sofa and pour my heart out.

Skylar's POV

I get home and slam the door behind me. I lean against the door and cry enough to fill the Nile River. Gosh. Why does it hurt so much? I barely knew him. My phone starts ringing in my purse. I pull it out but since my eye sight is blurry from all the tears, i answer without looking at the caller ID. "H-Hello?" i say while my voice is breaking. "Sky. Please. I am so sorry, I really didn't mean it that way. Of course, I like you. Like, a lot." He says. "I know you do, but its like your embarassed to be seen in public with me." I say with more tears running down my face. He doesnt say anything for a while. "My point exactly. Louis, Just please don't bother me at all. Ever again."
