"You called?" a croaky voice asked. The voice didn't belong to a human, but rather Princess Ethsna.

She was the beautiful offspring of King Zalzar and Queen Edina. However, Queen Luna came to her kingdom and stole her father's magical pendant, now gone in a world called Earth. Her kingdom no longer existed. Ethsna's parents were never seen again, and she was the last creature from the Díaland Kingdom. She wanted deep, deep revenge. That's why she traveled over to the Nyght Kingdom. Queen Midnight offered her help and even let her eat and sleep for a few nights to gain back her energy.

Now, here she was. Bowing to the queen, ready to start her mission.

Queen Midnight looked up at Ethsna. "Yes, yes I did." Ethsna stood back up.

"Is it time?" she asked. The queen nodded.

"You see, my sister was the queen who stole your father's pendant. I know you want it back."

"Yes! I do!" Ethsna said.

"I need another pendant that's on Earth, and it's one of the most powerful ones." There was a brief amount of silence.

"Do you mean...?" Ethsna was in awe.

"Yes. The one that belonged to Queen Angel." Queen Midnight paused. "I need you to get that pendant for me. Once you do, I'll be able to get your pendant back."

"Just tell me what I need to do!" Ethsna begged.

"I need you to kill someone. Her name is Zofi Myers."

A warm hand gripped my arm. Had dad finally come home after working overtime? I slowly opened my drowsy eyes, checking the time. A little past midnight. Dad would've come home a while ago, right?

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a silhouette of a tall and lanky figure. I glanced up and noticed that the window was wide open. Unsure of why it was open, I began to pull myself out of bed but was quickly pushed back.

Startled, I violently sat up and looked around. The light emitting from my alarm clock gave a glint off of something for a brief second. Unsure of what to do, I leaped forward to the end of my bed. The sound of cloth ripping was heard. I looked behind me and saw a knife stabbed through my pillow. A hickory brown claw of a hand pulled the knife out of the pillow with relative ease.

Cold, icy sweat coated my hands while boiling hot sweat streamed down my face like a waterfall. Time had seemed to slow down and things felt lightweight. Fear had taken over, and the first thing it did was punch.

The creature screeched in pain. Warm, gooey liquid dripped down my arm and an eyeball landed right beside me. Confidence began to seep through my veins, and an idea came to me. As I hopped off my bed to face the creature, a sapphire blue aura began to glow from my chest. The creature froze before approaching.

"That's... it!" it croaked. It wanted the pendant! Of course! But why? I wouldn't let the creature have it!

I cracked my knuckles and prepared myself for another punch. As I pulled back my arm and balled my fist, a blue aura appeared around my fist. I didn't know what was going on, but I let it happen anyway.

With a mighty punch, I expected to send the creature backward against the wall to the window. Instead, it shot out of the window and fell. The blue aura faded away. What had just happened?

I glanced down at my chest and pulled out the pendant from under my shirt. It was still glowing but was now pulsing as well. Curious as to why it was acting this way, I slowly opened my bedroom door and walked out. The pulse quickened. I used the glow to help me navigate the house.
