Natsu blushed intensely once he realized he had been staring. He was caught completely off guard seeing Gray shirtless in his kitchen. In his kitchen. Natsu was so sure he would've left early this morning. Natsu knew he had a tendency to sleep late after a panic attack. But here was Gray, standing shirtless in front of him. Making breakfast too? And whatever Gray was cooking smelled really good. Natsu's focus broke as felt Happy's body slip between his legs and walk towards Gray, who was focused on the pan of bacon in front of him. Happy jumped up and pawed at Gray's leg begging for a piece. "Hey there little guy. Who might you be?" Happy just mewed at Gray. It was possibly one of the cutest scene Natsu had ever seen.

Natsu walked forward and made his presence known. He didn't really feel like talking. He was too embarrassed to after what happened the night before. He tapped on Gray's shoulder to get his attention. Gray looked up quickly, only to be greeted by his cute strawberry top standing shyly behind him in his pajamas. "Oh u-um, good morning! I didn't think you'd be awake yet." Natsu thought it was cute how Gray got nervous. Happy once again pawed at Gray's leg. Natsu bent down to pick up Happy in his arms and scratched behind his ears.

"What's his name?" Gray looked at the both of them. Natsu just answered with his silence. Gray's eyes widened when he realized. "I know you may not want to talk right now, but we still need to be able to communicate." Natsu nodded in agreement as he continued to stroke Happy's fur. Natsu was ready to use sign language, but he doubted that Gray knew any. He waved at Gray to get his attention. Gray looked at him expectantly while he plated their breakfast. Natsu smiled a big wide smile and then pointed to Happy.

"The cat smiles?" Natsu shook his head and fed a piece of bacon to Happy, who was happily purring on his lap. "Okay, um another hint?" Natsu again, pointed at Happy, made a calling signal with his hand and once again smiled.

"Cat...call..smiles? The cat's name is smiles!" Natsu giggled and shook his head. One more time, Natsu tried to sign to Gray Happy's name. "Cat called smiles? Cat called teeth?" Natsu just burst out laughing. Gray was really clueless.

"Happy! His name is Happy!" Natsu laughed out loud. He couldn't believe Gray didn't get any of his clues. They seemed pretty obvious to him. Natsu was laughing so hard he felt tears in his eyes. Gray had this blank look on his face for a moment and then blushed lightly and smiled back at Natsu. Once Natsu's laughter subsided, Gray spoke up. "Happy is a nice name. And it sure seems to fit his personality!" The rest of their meal was spent in silence Even though the table was quiet, he could tell that Natsu was enjoying his cooking very much. That made Gray, happiest of all. Seeing Natsu laugh like that made it seem as if nothing was plaguing him. Like his life was perfect and was happy, just like his cat. Gray wanted to see him like everyday. He would do anything to keep the beautiful smile on Natsu's face.

Once breakfast was done, Natsu helped Gray with the dishes. They both cleaned up the kitchen in a quaint silence. It was as if they did this every morning, like a married couple. Natsu blushed at the idea that popped into his head. He liked the the idea, but Natsu couldn't hep but wonder what Gray would think about it. He pushed it to the side for now as they went into the living room. Natsu didn't know what to do, but he thought he should probably entertain his guest. Natsu didn't want to talk about last night, so he picked something random for them to do.

When Natsu bolted up the stairs, Gray wondered what was going on. He hoped he hadn't made Natsu uncomfortable with the silence between them. He just though Natsu need some time before they tried to have a conversation. That and he didn't want to make a fool of himself trying to play charades again. When Natsu came back in the room with a deck of playing cards. Gray understood. Natsu stood their awkwardly showing Gray the cards. So freaking adorable! Gray nodded. "Sure! What do want to play?" Natsu dragged his finger across the coffee table spelling it out. 'War'

"War?" Natsu nodded. "Sounds fine to me! I must warn you though, I have never lost a game of war." Natsu smirked at him mischievously. It was on like Donkey Kong. Natsu knew his way around a deck of cards. There was no way he was going to lose the Gray. Gray watched Natsu's delicate hands shuffle the deck of cards thoroughly. He dealt out the deck and started their game. Within a matter of minutes, Gray already had 3/4 of the deck in his hands and within the next two minutes, Natsu ran out of cards.

Gray had never been beaten that easily, but he wasn't going to go down with out a fight. they played another game and Gray lost again. "You have got to be cheating." Natsu shook his head and crossed his heart. They continued to play, rematch after for hours. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday.

Hi... I did it. I updated and yes I know it took me a million decades for me to. TBH I kinda just write when I feel inspired to, which is usually in between my projects and homework and the ceaseless family drama in my life. I would say kill me now, but then I wouldn't be able to update this story. Speaking of...how in the hell did this story get over 800 reads. i'm not particularly good, but to those of you who thought otherwise and read all of this so far, Thanks So Much! You are all loved! *gives hugs* That's it for now though.

Buh-bye
