all of his drawers were wide open, his fridge as well, and he shook his head, because everything was empty, and so was his stomach

he now had to go to the grocery store, jacob sighed but eventually left his apartment.

when he finally was outside the building, he damned himself for not putting a coat on, it was freezing and his short sleeved shirt didn't cover enough skin for this cold day of december.

he raised his hand to call a taxi, and one stopped soon in front of him.

   - take me to the nearest grocery store, please. he said in an hushed voice, and the driver simply nodded.

it wasn't a very long drive, and jacob was grateful for that, he couldn't wait until he got back to his apartment.

he left the car, handing a few dollars to the middle aged man and made his way towards the store with heavy footsteps.

a woman, probably a cashier, greeted him with an hello which he didn't answer to.

he made his way to the soup section, considering most of his alimentation was made of soups, and took his favorite ones in his hands, tomatoes, potatoes and carrots.

he then went to the cereal section, taking a bag of chocolate chips ones, took a bottle of milk, and made his way to the checkout with his meals for the whole week.
