A sharp ding snapped my attention away from the string instrument in my hands. Glancing over the colorful screen, I notice a text.
"Finn The Human:
yo, wanna hang out today?"I lifted my phone from the fluffy blanket it was laying in. Unlocking my phone, I respond.
"ya, I can come over. be there in 10." I type. I set the slick guitar on it's stand and stuff my communications source in my pocket.
"Aye ma! I'm going over to Finn's! I'll be back before dinner!" "Alright! If you need anything you know who to call!" My Mom shouted in response.
And off I was on my silver bike, swiftly gliding through the backstreets and shortcuts I've found over the years.
Just as I was approaching Finn's street, the clouds abruptly roared and spit out heavy rain drops. "Shit." I whispered under my breath. I biked faster than usual, to the point where I literally skidded in front of the Wolfhard's house. Exhaling, I walked my bike to a "rain-proof" area by the home.
I rushed to the front door and knocked on the door somewhat harshly. Almost immediately, the door flings open to reveal the curly haired boy that texted me just minutes ago. "Hey!" He greeted with a beaming smile. "Wait, you're soaking. Get inside before you get sick." He observed, moving aside for me to come in. "God, you sound like my mom." I claim, stepping in to take off my shoes. "I practically am. I feed you half the time at school, I entertain you, I teach you the things you don't pay attention to in class, and in this case I'm even dressing you." Finn elaborates, clo. "That was one hell of a greeting- wait dressing me?" I interrupt myself. "You're going to get sick if I let you stay in those clothes, I'll just um... give you one of my shirts and a pair of my mom's pants." The freckled faced boy explained with a tinge of pink to his face. "Do I have to?" I whine. "Do I have to?" Finn mocks.
After a few minutes of Finn rummaging through his clothes to find a clean shirt, and then another few to find pants that him mom didn't wear often. The boy handed me the clothes and shoved me into the guest bathroom.
I stripped off my wet clothes and hung them over the shower door, hoping they would dry by the time I went home. I stretched my arms through the soft fabric of Finn's shirt. It was a plain white and blue striped shirt that fit me loosely. Though Finn and I were the same height, he tends to wear baggier clothes which hang well over my shoulders. Why do I know this? He makes me where his clothes often. Odd, I know, but it's sweet. I never wear a rain jacket so my clothes often become sponges during rainy seasons, so Finn being the good mother he is makes me change into his clothes.
I shoved my legs into his mom's pants and made my way out of the bathroom to meet back with Finn. "So what now?" I question. "I was thinking about going to the park or something, but obviously got pissed on." A few moments of silence quieted the air. "What about some MarioKart?" He suggests, cutting the air with his sound waves. "Sounds good. Better prepare to get your ass beat though." I respond, cracking my knuckles. "Yeah right, we'll see who's talking when you're in 6th place." "Oh you're on Wolfhard." I challenged.
this is getting too long to I'm going to break it up into two parts
