You no longer smell like fireworks or alcohol now that you've had a shower and brushed your teeth, making your way down the stairs with your trusty little sister following behind you.

Good morning, crazy home.

Although your heart sinks when Linlin steps out of the living room and spots you. "[F/n]. There you are." Immediately you're freezing in your steps, swinging around and trying to escape her but you only bump right into Baby 5 instead.

Oh, double shit! Girl, you're in my way!

"D-Don't run away, dear!" Linlin calls out as she rushes to the bottom of the stairs, her eyes looking somewhat saddened and her thick arm reaching out to grab you. "I know we might've gotten off to a bad start yesterday."

Yeah, you got that right!

"I just wanted to say thank you, dear." The comment successfully stuns you, preventing you from even trying to run away as you try to work out just what on earth she's speaking about and what she has to thank you for. "I was expecting you to be more troublesome, thank you for cleaning the room like I had asked. Here's your phone back, you've got a message from your father also. I tried to give it back yesterday but I couldn't find you."

What? What the fuck are you talking about, woman? I didn't clean shit!

Linlin finally releasing your arm to take your phone out of her pocket before she calmly holds it out to you. You're honestly expecting a trap of sort, a cruel move or something, but she actually allows you to take it back.

What is this sorcery?

A sweet smile spreading across her lips as she tucks her hands behind her back. "I want what's best for you, [F/n]. And I want us to be friends." Is all the woman says, naturally you're still staring at her as if she's an alien or something, completely and utterly confused. "Can we be friends?"

"Uh...sure...?" Your voice low and your brows knitted together so tightly that your face could surely crack at any given moment but your response seems to please Linlin nonetheless, her smile widening as she begins to waltz off toward the kitchen.

What the fuck was all that about?

You look down at your phone, pressing the button that unlocks it. It's definitely yours, everything looks normal and you've still got that message from your father that she told you about.

I'll have to read that later.

"Why did she give my phone back?" You murmur to yourself quietly, Baby 5 nervously shifting behind you and gaining your attention. "Do you know anything about this? Is it some kind of trick she plays?"

This place is so fucking weird!

"No..." Baby 5 answers sheepishly, guilt written all over her face as she walks down the rest of the stairs with you, a small hum leaving her lips. "I cleaned the room...I-I didn't want you to get into trouble..."

Immediately your guard is down, your eyes just about springing out of your skull as your head swings around so quickly that it's a wonder you haven't broken your neck, your eyes locked on her and your mouth ajar.

"WHAT?! W-Why?!" You don't miss the slight flinch she does as you yell, as if she's expecting you to hurt her or something so you subconsciously lower your voice, your brows raised and your disbelief still as clear as day. "You didn't have to do that for me, I would've taken the punishment in my stride, y'know."

Why hasn't this girl been adopted yet? She's so lovely!

"Miss Charlotte would have put you on an all-day punishment then I wouldn't see you, I-I was hoping that we could hang out..." You can tell this sweetheart doesn't have much friends at all around here, Kid tried to call her needy yesterday so you assume that's why. People can be so cruel.
