IATO HQ: Washington D.C.
April 22nd
It was midday when our heroes returned home. As the SUV got closer and closer, they could see the enormous building aside the Tidal Basin. The building overlooked almost every monument in the capitol city.
At the front, the gates opened, and the vehicle followed a long road. On each side of the pathway there were small buildings, each holding a some government trucks, and a mini-jet similar to the Elites' own, but these were painted white and blue instead of their regular black. Straight ahead was the monumental tower, standing over 60 floors tall.
The five teenagers then walked into the massive structure, towards an elevator at the very center of the building. Jayson then scanned his card on the sensor. The elevator immediately responded "Agent Thomas. A-1. Report to Pirch's office immediately." Everyone else scanned their cards, and were each told to report back to their dorms. The elevator then took Jay to the very top of the building, into a very large office. There was a miniature fountain in one corner, and multiple glass panels were lined up across the wall. On the other side was a large desk. When the elevator opened and Jay stepped out, a voice said "Most unfortunate was the incident in North Korea. But we did what we had to do in order to ensure that they would never try to bring harm upon our country or it's people. But enough about that. I believe that you have something that belongs to me Mr. Thomas."
Jayson then pulled the small drive from his pocket. But before handing it over to his superior, he had some questions. "First off, this is the fifth time that we've run blindly into a mission under your direct orders. And the fifth mission that almost gets us killed. If I didn't know any better, I would think you were trying to get rid of us." Pirch then responded "While I'll admit I'm not a fan of your team or how you all do things, you're by far our greatest asset. I would never put you all through something that I wouldn't do myself. We've begun to run out of options. I'm sorry about all the close calls, but it's a risk that we've been forced to take here at IATO. I believe that just about answers your question." Jay then put the drive down on Director Pirch's desk, and asked "What's in that drive that's so important that you tell one of our teammates about it, but not anybody else? We try not to keep secrets from each other and stay as transparent as possible, because we trust each other." Pirch was silent for a few moments before he said "We had gained intel that North Korea was catching on to a plan I've had in the works for over twenty years. The best kept secret of the 21st century." Pirch then stood up and pushed a button on a remote. The glass panels on the wall then came to life, and displayed samples of videos. In the videos were images of some of the most tragic terror attacks ever seen. Pirch then said "Terrorism is one of the worst cancers to ever plague this world. Countless lives have been lost to the heartless masterminds behind Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and now the Pyongyang Regime. How many more innocent people have to die before this scourge comes to an end? The Elites initiative has helped to greatly reduce the number of tragic events, by eliminating terrorist cells. But, there is still no way to eradicate the cancer at the source. At least, not until now." The panels then changed into an image of a massive satellite, with giant cannons aiming in each direction. "This is project Black Sun, or as I like to call it: The Endgame. These superweapons will be able to stop acts of terror in the blink of an eye. Using a special algorithm developed by Agent ZC-918, we'll be able to identify terrorist strongholds around the world, and destroy each through strategic missile strikes and pinpoint accurate bullets to take down these murderers in the event of hostage situations, while leaving all hostages liberated and unarmed." The panels then shut down and became clear again. "This weapon will eliminate the risk of any of your team getting injured, or worse. The control satellites are being built underneath this building as we speak. We're revolutionizing how our country handles the issue of terrorism."
