It was now Friday and I am just sitting on the couch watching a drama on the TV. I have somehow grown accustomed to the new place I am in. School has been much better and fun considering I have five friends to help me get through it. My mom is currently in her study doing some paperwork. Seriously, ever since we got here she has been working nonstop. I think moving to a new place while doing office jobs can be gruesome. The weekend is upon me and I have no idea what to do. Taking my phone from the coffee table, I decided to message Betty.

"Hey Betty, do you have any plans for tomorrow?"

"Sorry Y/N. I have a meeting for The Blue and Gold."

Well that's something she has to prioritize. I continued to watch what's on the screen until I heard my phone ring. "So I know everyone is busy and I figured you wouldn't have any companion to spend a majestic weekend on Riverdale. So, what do you think of hanging out in the best place here? And no this is not a date." I laughed with whatever idea this person had in mind. "What gave you the impression that I would mistake this as a date Jughead?" "Well, you might or might've not asked me if I was asking you on a date when you were a damsel in distress." Coming to the realization that I did say that during my first date made me cringe. "Well guess what, I was just kidding. Testing the water just to lighten the mood. However, I would say yes to your offer since I have nothing better to do this weekend. Make sure to promise me one thing though." The raven haired boy asked me what my request was. "Don't focus too much on your laptop or else I'd feel as if I was just there so you can have a companion while on your own world." Before ending the call he surprisingly agreed to my proposal.

Saturday came and it was not the time for you and Jughead to hang out. Thinking of how the day was going to be like you didn't really plan anything our since you'll just be spending half the day at Pop's. Yes, that was the greatest place on Riverdale for him. To tell the truth, he did seem like he was in serendipity every time he is sat there. Typing on his laptop might have meant safe place for him due to his lack of social skill. Not that I can say I am but that's beside the point. I sometimes want to ask him why he is so submerged with whatever he is doing. I checked my bag to check if I have everything I needed then made my way to the greatest place on earth.

"Remind me again why this is your greatest place here?" I asked him while eating a French fry. He just pointed at the window I did turn around to see what it was. When I was about to turn back I felt something poking my cheek. Raising my eyebrow as a form of question, Jughead just laughed. "I find it the best place to do what I have to do. This is the space where I could be myself and just dive deep towards my tasks without having football jocks or psycho sisters disturbing me. If you can't tell already, I'm not much of a people person." Truth be told, I couldn't really argue with what he said especially the one relating to him being a people person.

After two hours of silence and me finishing all of the food I've ordered, I am now looking at Jughead with me sipping in an empty milkshake cup. My patience was starting to run thin. I remember asking him not to submerge himself and ignore my existence when he asked me to join him here. "Jughead" he didn't respond so I called him again. "Jughead Jones." Still, he didn't respond. I wasn't going to play this game with him. I put my phone on my bag then stood. "I'm not gonna have any more of this. Enjoy yourself Mr. Jones." He looked up and smiled. How I wanted to punch him then and there. "Okay, I'm sorry I was just joking. Forgive me now okay?" He was holding my hand which I didn't notice or did I? My irritation has gotten to me and now I'm just looking at him with a straight face. "How about I tell you what I'm doing? Will that make up for it?" It was hard for me to not show my true reaction since I was curious as to what he was writing. I mean, I can't just let him know that I wanted to ask Oh hey, Jughead what you writing there? That would just be downright rude. He patted the sit beside him and I scooted over. "Oh so you were writing a novel." By the way he looked at me I can tell that he was confused. "Well duh what do you think was I doing? Robbing a bank? " I did. "You know there is a potential Jughead. You've been on your laptop for God knows how long. If you hadn't shown me I would've thought you were planning to break and enter the local bank." We both laughed. "I wouldn't do such thing. I might look like a weirdo on the outside but I am still a law abiding citizen you know. Besides there's not much in the bank I can tell." He said while putting his right hand on his chest. Pretending to be shocked by his additional statement I gasped "Fair enough. Wait, so you planned to R-O-B the bank?" by the way he looked he seemed flustered. "No, stop that, people might hear you. We don't think the same as the individuals here. It's best though if you tell me something about yourself. You know, we at least have to be in the getting to know each other stage." I raised an eyebrow but he seemed to mean what he said "Well, I don't know. I don't have many hobbies. Listening to music, watching movies, taking long walks those are the usual things I do on the norm. I'm quite boring you know." Thinking of my hobbies never crossed my mind even once. Most of the time, I just watch and sleep if my mom is too busy. We do go on camping's but that's not all the time. "Earth to Y/N?" I didn't notice that I was in daze. "I just asked you a question but it seems that you're too busy up there." He said while poking my forehead. "What was your question?" he shrugged and said never mind.

We were walking on my way home. It was silent at first and that felt awkward. So awkward I wanted to melt from where I was. Jughead insisted on walking me home as a part of his apology. I did say it was unnecessary but it seems like he took my little tantrum seriously. Truth be told I was just kidding, though it did feel as if I was just a white wall there. Jughead was the first person who I hang out with what I mean by that is with just the two of us. Talking with him was different compared with the other guys. We can joke about random things and his sarcasm isn't much of a bother since I consider myself as one too. It's just too early for me to show that part of myself since I'm still testing the waters in Riverdale. We reached my home and he said goodbye then I entered my house. The next thing I knew made my heart skip a beat. I wasn't aware of how he managed to do that. The next few days will be interesting.
