Annabeth
I wake up, and I feel normal.
I look around, and I see myself in a hospital. I have an IV in my arm, and I reach up and feel my head which still slightly hurts. I feel bandages.
The door opens and the nurse comes in.
No way.
It's one of my best friends from a long time ago. It's Thalia. Thalia has spiky black hair, and electric blue eyes.
When I was younger, about 7-8, Thalia was 15. We were best friends, and she was always there for me when Helen was being a *****.
"You never told me you would be a nurse!"I exclaim.
"You never asked."she grins.
"What happened exactly?"
"Well, what do you remember?" She asks
"I remember doing the dishes,and Helen comes in drunk, and tells me to do the laundry. I asked her how much she had to drink, and she threw the bottle at me. I woke up in an ambulance, then got dizzy. I think I passed out again. And then I woke up while on the way to the room. I passed out when they put the IV in my arm. I just woke up."I recall
"Yes. You have a concussion, because you hit your head on the cabinet under the sink. We had to pull glass out of your head. Helen was arrested for child abuse. The trial is on Monday. So in 4 days. You will be adopted, and you might move."
"Well, at least I won't have to be with Helen anymore."
"Yes. Now why don't you get some rest."
"Okay. Thank you Thals."
She leaves, and I fall asleep.

4 days later. The trial.
(Idk how trials work, so this is not going to be very good.)
"Helen Chase is being convicted of child abuse." Judge Luke says. "Annabeth Chase, Helens stepdaughter, would you please tell your story?"
I tell the story of how she threw the bottle at me, causing me to get glass in my head, and get a concussion.
After a while, the jury talks between themselves, and tell the judge the result.
"Helen Chase is guilty as charged. She will spend life in prison. Annabeth Chase will be adopted by Thalia Grace, who is qualified, and is a good friend to Annabeth." The judge says."dismissed."
Everyone leaves, and a screaming Helen is dragged out by police.
Thalia comes over to me and I give her a hug
"THANK YOU SO MUCH THALS!"
"You're so welcome. Let's go home. I need to talk to you."
"Okay. Let's go."

We arrive at Thalia's house.
"Okay. So, I have just gotten a job offer. I am being transferred to a hospital in New York, so we are moving in a week. You ok with that?"
I think for a minute. I'll be closer to Percy "Yes! What area of New York?"
"We will be in Manhattan, and you will be going to Goode High School. We will be in an apartment, but it won't be that bad."
Wait. Goode High school. That sounds familiar.
THATS THE SCHOOL PERCY GOES TO NOW! that's why it's so familiar!
I can't believe it! I'm going to see Percy again!
"This will be your room for the week, until we move." Thalia says showing me a bedroom in her house.
"Okay. All my stuff is at Helens house."
"We are going there now, to get it. We will move you here, and then in a week, we move to New York."

It's finally moving day.
All my stuff is in boxes, and were just waiting for the moving truck.
"And once we get settled into our new house, I'm going to take you to get new clothes. Half of your clothes now are too small, and the other half are worn out." Thalia tells me as we're loading up the truck.
"That sounds great Thalia." I reply loading the last box.
Thalia shuts the truck, and tells the truck driver to take it away.
"Have you told Percy that were coming to New York?"she asks.
"Nope. I'm going to surprise him. But I don't remember telling you his name." I say confused.
"No. You didn't. But I know him."
"How?" I ask. Even more confused.
"He's my cousin. Didn't you know? My dad is his dad's brother."
"Wait. Percy Jackson is your cousin?! How come I never knew?"
"You never asked."
We get in the car, and drive away.
A/N: So, how was that?
It's longer than the other chapters, and I am planning on writing another chapter soon.
By the way: if there is any confusion, they are driving to New York. And this is in Early July. Annabeth is almost 16.
