I parked Orion's overrated car, and looked up to see a small boutique full of colors and extravagant plants. Plants of all shapes and sizes that I have neither heard, nor cared for in my entire life. I remembered to lock the car, just in case Orion will come sneaking back for it.I'm clever, I know.
I jogged inside and made my way to the counter. Breathless and pumped with adrenaline, I smiled to the sweet old lady behind the counter.
"Hallo, dear! What can I do for you?" The lady cheered."Hi! I'm visiting a dear friend, and I really need a flower bouquet. Could you please just mash up something very quickly?" I said, slightly distracted by her colorful flower decorated nails. A little passionate for her job, I guess.
"Yes, indeed we can dear! What flowers do you want?" The old lady smiled to me, typing something on the cashier.
What flowers I want? I have no idea, whatever that grows. I thought to myself.
"Uh, roses?" I asked her dumbfounded. Honestly, that's the only kind that I am familiar with. I should really take a flower course to improve my knowledge on flowers. This is ridiculous.
"Color? Red, pink, white or yellow?" She asked, pushing up her cat-glasses as she wrote something on a small note.
"Just take red." I waved my hand carelessly, and looked out of the windows guarding.
"Wait a minute dear while I will prepare your bouquet." She waddled Her way to the backroom, waving a hand in the air as she did so.
I was left impatiently behind the counter, tapping my nails on the desk. There were a few customers here, gossiping about something. Three old ladies and two middle aged women, with their expensive coats and mountains of shopping bags. I turned around not wanting to be rude and stare, but it became quite the challenge when the ladies started talking louder and clearer, nearing me closer and closer. "Yes, it happened just now Dorthy." A woman whispered, but failed miserably.
"Orion Davidson fighting in a coffee shop with his brother? The Orion Davidson?" The lady named Dorthy, asked full of disbelief and misdoubt.
"Yes, yes! Over a girl I believe." The younger woman said, screaming with enthusiasm.
"Nonsense! What girl? Orion Davidson have not been together with anyone for two years." A short bitter lady blurted out as she inspected a dull plant. The woman has more wrinkles than the dead plant she was looking at.
"Oh, no Mary! This girl is special. You see, the rumors say that she's already living in his penthouse." She squirms out of joy. "God, how exciting!"
"Exciting? You know how his brother is Louis." The woman so called Dorthy said softly. Unbothered by her companionship, she took up her cellphone and squinted her small eyes at the screen.
One of them scoffed. "Crazy, that's what he is. Rubbish the whole family I tell you, too much money to keep their sanity." She spat.
"Well, I think it's exciting." The younger one of them finished with her head held high.
I stood speechless looking at the wall. I wanted to rip my ears out. My ears have been so abused, that their functioning is completely lost. How can people go around and gossip about this? About me? About Orion? I felt sick to my stomach. Like I was on a roller coaster and the kid in front of me just vomited all over me. Neither my life nor Orion's are the daily news that you can discuss on a regular basis, like some sort of a political debate. I want no part in this rumor. I am simply living at Orion's place for a brief time. Purely, because I have no other choice. I hate it, I hate him. By all means, gossip him to filth, but keep me out of it.
