Hell

Conflict everywhere in the world. Wherever you go, be it in a clothing shop, in the restaurant, or in an actual warzone , there are always multiple forces trying to get rid of the other. But when one is tired of conflict and needs some time off, there is no better place to go to the most relaxing place you can think of.. In my case the beach.

Why the beach, you may ask. If you would actually know me, you would know that it is one of the last places you would find me. For one I get sunburn within 15 minutes of direct exposure to such intense sunlight. And I do not like seawater in my eyes , the screaming, the nudity and many many more reasons as to not visit it. But like anything else, I get there to calm down and think about what's actually happening around me. Because secretly.. it's the biggest warzone of the world.

Need examples? I'll give you some examples! For one it's the fish! They are planning a huge invasion of the land and slowly but steadily they come closer with every hour before the human forces attempt to retreat from the ongoing storm that is the sea. Sure we have our own attack force, the small children in heavy combat with the shrimp. But that usually ends up like a stalemate.

Then we have the silent assassins that were 'left alone' strategically in the small puddles of underwater plants that look so harmless and innocent. But whenever you come close you will find they are fierce, and standing their ground until reinforcements arrive.

Then we have our builders, also known as diplomats who use the tools they were given to come up with strategically placed fortresses that try to accept the incoming flood. But in the end none of these fortresses survive, unless they are placed in the safe zone. And while this is all happening the humans on our side are doing their best to subtract as much vitamin D and bring it back to the mainland.

And this is just the stuff happening on the surface! Only few know about the actual horrors in the sea. But it seems almost every day we are lucky not to find the evil forces of the sea so close to the shore. Fortunately most are defensive forces and will not strike. But I can only fear the moment the whales decide to turn against us and push down any water vehicle we have at our disposal..

But fortunately we also have an ally. The moon. When we all rest up from the terrible loss of ground every day, the moon makes sure the sea will stay away before it deals tremendous damage. I'm still not sure if our ally is actually man made. That perhaps many hundreds of thousands of years ago we decided to sacrifice a piece of our living grounds to make sure we are protected at night. But it's there and we're still here. So it was a pretty awesome tactic.

The ground itself, fortunately is quite neutral. Sure it allows the sea in from time to time, but our alliance with the moon secures the neutrality of the sand. Also if you were to put a GPS on any piece of sand you would see how quickly and efficiently it refreshes their troops. Many do recon in sea and report back to the mainland. Others disappear for many millennial, never to be seen again and drowned in the near infinite bottomless pit that is the floor of the sea.

But sometimes, through legend, some pieces of sand survive and make their way up through the depths of what looks like hell itself. Groups together with a huge band of allies, and escapes through the confusion and devastation in what we call a zit of the Earth..

And after the mass confusion and the chaos, this little piece of sand, along with his brothers will form a new kind of soil. And in their retirement new life can grow, so replenish the ground forces of the earth on the surface, to fight the sea another day..

And before my thoughts have finished this cycle of life itself, I have lose the battle and go home with a satisfied feeling, even if I almost drowned and suffer from sunburn for the next week to come. I have survived another day in the biggest war of our world.
