Chapter 16

(Not edited)

“We are gathered here today to honour the memory of Gabriella Charlotte Phoenix,” he said the words that I tried hard not to hear. “She was a great friend, student, daughter, sister.” I looked around there was barely anyone listening. My mum sat beside me. They decided to do a little speech at school in her honour. “Umm… a moment of silence in Gabriella’s honour please.”

Yeah great job. I applaud him. Note the sarcasm. Seriously you’d think the principal could do a better job. Gabriella was a great girl. I saw through her imperfections.  Not even her family was around. What the hell.

According to the principal she has a brother. I wonder where he is. That’s such a dog move. Poor Gabby. She doesn’t deserve all this. Someone barged in it was a guy and he looked out of breath. His figure was blurry. But he screamed. “NO THIS ISN’T TRUE! NO! NO! NO! Why…”

BEEP

BEEP

BEEP

I woke up with a groan, I’ve been waking up every half an hour to make sure, she’s still alive. My mother wrapped her damages up with bandages. She has a four centimetre cut on the side of her face. Thank god it’s not so deep; however it’ll most likely leave a scar for a while. She lost a lot of blood.

(HAHA stop and comment who ever fall for it?)

When I got a call was getting ready for bed, I really wasn’t expecting Gabriella to call at like one in the morning. That was unexpected. But I’m so happy she did if she didn’t she would have died. She hit her head pretty hard to she has a concussion, which isn’t too serious according to my mother.

Her skin was ice cold, and still is cold now. My mum actually stripped her clothes washed her with a warm wet towel and dressed her in my sweatpants and a jumper. That was two sizes too big, she looked so cute. But her face was in pain even in her sleep.

My mum told me she has scars on her back and bruises everywhere. Some old, some new I was speechless. She was in pieces. She’s still shivered. My thoughts and memories were cut short when I heard loud screaming. Lights turned on in the hallway. As I looked at a now terrified Gabriella. She jumped out of bed and rushed to the corner when she collapsed. She brought her knees up and started rocking.

What the hell happened? She was breathing really hard. Muttering under her breath, her eyes were wide. She looked flushed. I rushed to her side and she scattered against the wall, she covered her ears. My mum rushed in. she hurried to her side. I just froze there. Standing awkwardly, not knowing what to do she seemed really scared, whatever been happening was taking a toll at her, mentally.
