Maya POV
Crack!
I thought that was the sound of my heart breaking, but it was just smackel's taco.
"Complications? W-what kind of complications?!?"
"It seems Lucas is having a brain bleed. Dr shepherd is doing everything in his power. There is a 50/50 chance. I'm very sorry."
I feel light headed. Tears are stinging my eyes. My legs feel weak. Breathe, Maya breathe! Riley comes and escorts me to the seat as the doctor walks off. She looks me the eye.
"Hope Maya. Hope isn't for suckers."
I look at her tears pouring down my face, breathing heavily and all I do is nod.
It wasn't log after that I fell asleep. I was woken by Dr. Shepherd. He had a sympathetic look on His face.
"He's dead isn't he?"
"Actually the exact opposite. Although there were complications, we got him fixed. There was some very bad damage so he might have a few memories that are lost, but that is just temporary. You can come see him if you'd like."
Tears of joy were streaming down my face. I gave him the biggest hug.
"Thank you so much!!!!"
"Your very welcome Mrs Hart. Shall I show you to his room?"
"Please."
We walked to Lucas' room and there he was asleep. His head was wrapped up. I walked in, sat down and grabbed his hand. His eyes fluttered open and he smiled."
"Maya."
"Yes Lucas."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"Where's Presley?"
"He's at home with zay."
"Should we be expecting a video of our son singing to celine Dion?"
"That's what I said but no, Mrs Matthews is with him."
"Poor Mrs Matthews."
"Exactly."
"So what happened? All I remember is being dead."
"you got on a crash. A woman near the scene took you in. You found communication and James picked you up and brought you home. We thought you were dead until Presley kept shouting daddy. When I went to pick him up there you were on our doorstep. I tackled you and zay said something he shouldn't have. You thought I was cheating on you. Your memory came and go. I brought you here and your all fixed."
"What did zay say?"
"umm...Well I'm pregnant....again. It was when you came to visit..."
"Maya, that-thats amazing! Have you found out the sex?"
"Its a baby girl."
"she's going to be as beautiful as you."
He then pulled me towards him as he felt my stomach. He kissed at began talking to it.
"Hey baby girl I'm your daddy. I love you with all my heart. Just promise me one thing...don't have your moms attitude."
I playfully slap him and he chuckles. He pulls me close and we share a kiss filled with so much passion. There is no way in hell I can ever fall out of love with this man. I have been in love with him for 10 years. Nothing ever will change that. He is my person. I lay down next to him and Dr shepherd walks in.
"so Lucas will be able to go home in a week. After that Lucas will have to get a check-up every month just so we know he is okay."
"For how long?"
"Until we are fully aware that he is fine, and nothing will happen."
"Ok..."
"Well Mrs hart, you exactly 4 hours until you have to go home."
"Thank you."
He walked out and I snuggled back into Lucas' chest, and we laid there in silence.
Lucas POV
As we laid there a memory came back to me
"You used to be pregnant?"
"Mmhmm."
"Was it with your ex?"
"Don't know."
"What?"
"It was either yours or ex's. I'm not sure because a week before us i was with my ex. I wasn't carrying it long enough to know, and I never want to know. The father would have either been a man that abused me or a guy that never loved me. I didnt want my kid to be brought up like that."
"I'm sorry."
My eyes got teary as another memory came to mind.
Guess what Marley told me?"
"What, did she tell you?"
"She had an abortion, it could have been mine, or her ex's but ssshhh don't tell Maya."
"I am Maya, Lucas."
"oh we'll I'm pretty sure it wasn't mine anyways."
"Why are you sure?"
"When she got it, she was 4 months, when I seen her after 4 months she looked normal."
"ok."
She knows. I probably broke her heart. I never want to be the one that hurts her. I don't want to be the one that breaks her.
