Time to Confess

Dan and Phils lips aligned perfectly together. Eyes fluttering at the right moments so they can gaze longingly, or close for the tension. Then it got deeper. Typhoons and tornados formed where their mouths should be, and Dan picked Phil of the floor onto the counter. Dan's hands explored the atmosphere of Phils back, bringing up his shirt to feel the ridges of his spine. Phil's hands were placed on either side of Dan's face, his fingertips gripping his cheekbones.

Then the devotion stopped when a loud cough broke Dan and Phils escalating intensity.

Now the world actually did stop. Dan and Phil still in their sealed attachment, and Chris eyes wide gawking over the two interlaced male bodies.

"Uhh, I just need to get my coat," Chris pointed to the other side of the counter Phil wasn't laid upon, "then I'll be out of your way." Chris still looked flabbergasted, and his voice was a mixture of awkwardness, uncomfortableness, and shock. And he had the total right to do so.

"No, Chris. We can explain everything. From the beginning," Phil explained, his cheeks were a blood hot red, "Dan, can you just..." Phil's hands were placed flat on Dan's chest pushing him softly, then as he was gripping the marble counter he pushed himself off to the floor. He had to pull his shirt down since Dan was playing with his back.

"So, Chris. Were, we are dating. Ever since like, like 2010 ish." Dan said looking like he swallowed a lemon whole. But he was glad that the truth came out, it was just so awkward tho.

"Why didn't you guys ever tell me?" Chris asked. There were a million things he wanted to ask, but this one was a good start.

Dan looked at Phil, who was standing by his side, "Well, I can't speak for both of us but," Phil started, "but we didn't want to lose you and PJ as a friend if you didn't accept it." Phil grabbed Dan's hand, who looked at him with wide eyes. Never would they ever have done this in front of Chris, of anyone.

Chris's face showed warmth, he looked consoled. "Guys," he started as he walked closer towards them, "I would never put you down or stop being your friends for anything," he hugged them both at the same time, "you are the best mates I could ever have, nothing will change that."

As he let go Dan sighed in relief, "Thanks, Chris." was all he could say.

"I just feel awful we never told you or PJ." Phil was crestfallen when he released those words, it made Dan squeeze his hand in affection.

But Chris waved it off, "The past is in the past. We should celebrate tonight, and if you guys are up to it you could tell PJ?" He looked hopeful.

"PJ did suggest we should all meet up for drinks later," Dan was now smiling, "sound perfect."

After another round of hugs, Chris got his coat and headed home.

All Dan and Phil did was look into each other's eyes, and smile. They knew things would change, but they wouldn't have to hide their affection anymore to the most important people in their lives.
