Hey guys, sorry for being a total slacker. I wanna try and get more chapters out on a regular basis. Thankyou for reading, the votes and the comments. Means alot. Keep on doing, what you're doing. Sorry for the short chapter, next one will be around 1000 words. Xx

Oh shit.
This is the exact moment I knew that the world had it out for me.
I can't do this...
Play it cool for Christ's sake, it's not highschool anymore.
Just be confident.
The one quality I lacked.
I tried moving past him, but he wouldn't budge. Instead he just stood there looking at me, trying to piece together who I was. 'Verity?' Jack's voice cooed to me from above.
'Harries.' I glanced back at him, my voice shaky. He looked so much more different since highschool; taller, more muscular, his face was much more defined.
I tried to push myself out the door and escape. Jack moved over slightly, blocking the door. 'Long time no see, eh.'
I took a sip of my coffee, the warm liquid began to satisfy my insides. Slowly I removed the container from my lips. Breathe in, breathe out. 'You got that right.' I replied; very monotone.
'Verity.'
'Don't you have better things to do than interact with me?' I shove my body past Jack and try to fastly walk away to remove myself from his presence. Bad idea. He grabs my hand, not letting go. I hesitate to leave his side. He smells of spearmint and vanilla, delicious.
I can't leave.
Just not yet anyway...
'There is nothing more I want to do right now, than to talk to you.' Jack leads me to a table in the far corner of the coffee shop. We both sit down and stare into each others eyes for a quiet three minutes before I break the silence.
'Why are you doing this?'
'Doing what?' He doesn't get it.
'This. You sitting right here, with me. Looking as handsome as ever and -'
'You think I'm handsome?' Jack questions me with a cheeky grin.
Just say it, you fucked up already anyway.
FINE, but if I ruin everything, it's your fault.
'I always have.' I mumur. I look up at him, his eyes sparkle like the pavement after summer rain. There was not a way to fathom how attracted I was to this boy; and there never will be.
'You know, I've always thought you were beautiful.'
'Jack, please stop lying.' I take another sip of my coffee, drowning my thoughts in caffiene and low spirits.
'I'm not, I was going to ask you out on the last day of school. However, you fled from the school gates like you were being released from the pits of hell. I never saw you since...' His hand reached out to grab mine.
'It was hell.' I push a strand of my jet black hair behind my ear, still looking at our now interwined hands.
Except when I saw you.
'I'm sorry for everything Verity.' Jack kindly responded with the words I'd been wanting to hear for a long time.
'Its okay, Harries.'
Man you're whipped. Control yourself.
'Lets get out of here, Taylor.'
With now two empty coffee cups left on the table, I leave where I wish it started. With him and only him.

Novela Juvenil“Verity. Please.” He glanced down at his mug, staring at the murky liquid that was coffee. “I can’t do this anymore. I just can’t.” I picked up my phone off the table and left. Slamming the door heavily on my way out.
