Lady in Red

Matapos ang mahabang byahe ay lumapag na ang eroplanong sinakyan ko sa Bercelona International Airport. And right after that ay tinahak na rin namin ang daan papuntang hotel kung saan ako mamamalagi ng dalawang araw.

I'm with my Secretary and 2 more escorts. I told my dad that I won't be needing any bodyguards anymore but he insisted, plus don't mention my kuya.

Habang na sa daan ay kitang-kita ko ang gandang taglay ng Barcelona, no doubt why it was labeled as Architecture Capital of the world. The buildings here are all aesthetically built. Kahit ni ultimo maliliit na gusali ay kakikitaan ng masining na arkitektura. And as an architect, this place is close to heaven already for me.

Maybe Xia was right, I needed this trip.

After getting awed by the beauty of it, I faced my secretary. But I left the car window open. I love how the wind blows the strands of my hair and how the cold breeze touches my bare skin.

"Maan, what are my sched?" I asked.

"Uh, actually miss, aside for the conference tomorrow and the party the night of that, you don't have any appointments yet." She answered as she checked her ipad for my schedule.

"yet?" I said, with brow raised up. What does she mean by that?

"Yes Miss. Saka na po kayo mag kaka schedule ulit sa susunod na araw kung malalaman na natin ang mananalo sa auction." She answered, making me remember about that thing. The beauty of this city almost let me forgot about it.

It's already 9:37 pm here when I gazed at my watch. Bukas nang umaga hanggang hapon ang conference at gabi naman ang party for the Charity event.

I must say, this will be a very long couple of days.

After few more minutes, we already arived at the hotel. When I entered my room, nothing much happened. Nagpahinga lang ako sandali atsaka nagbabad sa tubig sa loob ng tatlumpong minuto. I took a warm bath before going to bed.

When I climbed the queen size bed, I took the remote and open the curtains from behind me, to see the beautiful night view of Barcelona.

The lights of buildings from the outside look like colorful dots scattered in a dark backdraft. It's almost like a magical piece when you can see lights below and above you.

Parang na sa pagitan ako ng dalawang malawak na kalangitan. Sa itaas ko ang kulay puting matitingkad na mga bitwin at nasa ibabaw ko naman ang makukulay na bitwin.

This moment could almost define my life. Dati makulay at masaya pero ngayon masaya pa rin naman pero hindi na makulay. The down and Up skies. It feels like I'm in between of my two worlds.

Siguro ganoon talaga, minsan magbabago nalang bigla ang buhay mo. Mamamalayan mo man o hindi, sadjang magbabago talaga ito.

And with that thought in my mind I fell into a deep sleep.

It was already 7 o'clock in the morning when I woke up. Mamayang 9 am magsisimula ang conference so I need to get ready already. I hate being late and cramming is certainly not my thing. Kung kaya't bumangon na ako sa pagkakahiga.

I opened the curtains again, gone was the magical lights scattered in the dark and now all I can see is beautiful landscapes and tall buildings. With one deep sigh after admiring the beauty from below, I went to the bathroom to wash up.

After half an hour I'm already done. With my white robe I went out of the bathroom. I headed to the closet where Maan hanged my dress for today's event.

I chose to wear a longsleeve off shoulder red dress that reaches just above my knees. Conservative yet elegant. Red means superiority, elegance and daring all in one and so I chose it.
