It's another normal day for me to live. Just like my everyday routine, wake up - eat - dress up - work. Wala nang nabago sa buhay ko. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm complaining with my life right now. Pinili ko 'to kaya dapat tanggapin ko. It's just that, life just became a routine for me. That fleeting feeling of being alive is close to nothing anymore.
Tulad ngayon. I'm here in my office, sitting on my office chair reading reports, proposals and the like. I love my work but I need to feel alive again.
And with that thought, I lifted my gaze to the woman who is comfortably sitting in my sofa. Xia, my soul sister.
I envy her. She can do anything she wants. No, I think the right thing is, She knows what she wants to do in life. I can do anything I want too, the only problem is; I don't know what I want anymore.
But instead of thinking the things I that I want to do, I shrugged the thoughts off again. As usual. Ayoko nang mag isip. Maybe later. With that finality, I focused on what I'm doing already.
Kababalik ko palang sa mga papeles na binabasa ko nang marinig ko ang impit na tili ni Xia.
"Xia! Why are you shouting!" I asked in half irritated tone. This girl.
"Oh - My - God !" She almost yelled again. Her almond eyes widely focused on her phone.
"Xia, ano ba? What's with you?" Singhal ko ulit nang makita ko ang reaction niya.
"You won't believe this!" She stated. Still eyeing her phone.
"What?" At mas naging curious na tuloy ako dahil sa mga sinasabi niya.
She stood up and walked towards me. And while walking, she read. "Asia's one of most prominent business tycoon, Zhen Lucas Sabrieno, has just confirmed his attendance in the up coming 98th Annual World Real Estate Business Conference in Barcelona! ZLS is known to be a very private person and oftentimes just sends representative on his behalf and so this confirmation of him just shocked the business world!" She read that as if she's delivering her graduation speech, so proud and emotional. Typical her.
Though the news also brought my mind into a twirl, I just rolled my eyes instead.
"So? What is it now?" I asked as if I'm not interested at all.
At bago ko pa man maibalik ang mata ko sa mga papeles na kanina'y binabasa ko ay narinig ko ang mapanuyang halakhak ni Xia.
"Oh Come on, Pris! Don't put that act up, specially when it's me you're with." She teased.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I just said and shifted my focus to the papers again, though at the back of my mind I'm still thinking about the news.
"Uh huh?" She giggled. "Oh wait. I'm not done reading yet." She said, her voice laced with amusement.
Di ko na lang siya pinag tuonan ng pansin. Kunwari.
"It's shocking that ZLS will be the one attending the conference, but what's more shocking is that-" She read again. At sinadja niyang putilin ang sasabin pa sana. "Aren't you curious Pris?" She teased again.
Hindi ko siya pinansin at nagpatuloy sa pag babasa. But then again I'm such a Pandora and so with a long deep sigh, I gave up. "What?" I asked looking at her.
She laughed with what I did. "Oh come on Pris!" She said. "Okay. Here it is. - he announced his attendance after the confirmation of Mirades
Construction & Designs' announcement that for the first time also, Architect Pristine Mirades will represent their company in the said conference."
