Liam's P.O.V.
Things are just going around in a circle around me I guess.
I don't know how else I end up snuggling up with this girl twice in a row and end up being woken up by a family member of hers both the times?
Definitely a mystery to me.
"Aren't they just cute!" the sound of someone cooing somewhere around me woke me up this time around. Thankfully, we were already on the ground, I didn't have to eat dust first thing in the morning this time.
"It's hurting my eyes." the same voice spoke once again.
My eyes were closed but I was more alert now. The tone of the words didn't suit the heavy voice of the person and he - definitely a 'he' - was a little too close to me right now. I think I've heard that voice somewhere before.
"Wake them up." he said, no ordered, all hints of playfulness seeming to have disappeared now.
Then I realised that there were more people in the room. Next I realised that someone had broken in and after that I realised that fuck, we were most probably about to die. These chain realisations hit me good, pushing out every trace of the sleep from my body as I jerked up into a sitting position.
"What the fuck."
Somehow I'd been waking to unknown - unwanted - people staring back at me a little too many times. No one ever trained me for this but I think after the last few times, I should be able to manage this yet there I was, paralysed both physically and mentally, and more lost than a Waldo.
There were three people in front of me. One of them had pulled out a chair and was lounging on it as if it were his house and his chair while the other two stood on either side of him in perfect, intimidating attention. This person though, I knew too well and somehow it felt like I'd woken up to death.
Getting caught sleeping with a girl by her father is one thing but when the father is a towns gangster who technically your own fathers enemy, it just takes matters to a whole new dimension.
"Oh hey, good morning!" he flashed me a fake smile, one that spewed of a mixture of not good for me emotions.
A very good morning indeed.
I didn't even notice as my hand had subconsciously crept over to Alice until it came in contact with her arms. My eyes were fixed on the man in front of me as my hand shook - what I thought was - Aelx's shoulder.
"Thank you very much." John nodded his head. I kept quite, still shaking her shoulder, not taking my eyes off of her father.
She stirred a little bit. "Ughh . . . babe! Let me sleep, 'm tired from last night."
Did that sound right? That sure as hell did not sound right.
I finally snapped my eyes away from John.
"Alex, wake up!" I hissed at the sleeping girl who was no where close to waking up right now.
"Uhh, why are you so cranky in the morning." she more or less moaned. I could feel myself getting more and frustrated by the second.
"Alex -!" I began to say but was cut off by a loud screech of something hitting the floor.
Many things happened instantaneously. My head whirled around to see a number of spoons and forks strewn across the floor in front of John. Alex snapped awake from her slumber and I guess some kind of a reflex kicked in because within a second, she was up and all sprawled out completely ready for ninja kicking someones butt. Now, since we were sleeping in a tent, said tent didn't take too well to the trashing and sprawling and decided to perfectly collapse upon me and Alex.
