Catty: Hey, guys. I think it's about high time I talked to you about abuse. In this story, abuse takes place as a plotline, our beloved Yami being the victim of it.

What some don't realize, abuse is real. For some people, it's a part of everyday life, and it's not a funny thing. It's hurtful to the victim and even the bystanders (this usually being children).

One out of every four woman will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Abuse goes beyond the physical, too. Being constantly put down or being hurt with words is just as bad as a smack or rape. There is also something called financial abuse, where you aren't being given the sufficient money to buy nesessities, like food and clothing. Also, although there are some cases where men are abused, it's 85% of the time a woman who is abused in the home, and most often by an intimate partner. It can destroy someone if they are abused in this manner.

As well as harming the vicitm, bystanders can pick up habits from the situations. Boys who grow up in a family where they, or someone else, is abused, are twice as likely to abuse others as they get older. The majority of domestic abuse cases are not report to the police.

I ask that, if you or someone you know are going through this, please seek help. Having coming from an abuse family, I know it seems like there is no hope and you're all alone, but you have to know there is hope. Me and my mother and brothers got out of that situation, and we're off much better, now. Nobody deserves to be abused, because God loves every single one of you... And so do I. I don't know you personallly, but that doesn't mean I don't want to see each of you prosper to your full potential. Please don't let yourself or anyone else go through this alone... You could be the life and death difference to someone...

With love,
