"Yami!" Yugi dashed into the game shop, seeing the person in question sitting on the couch, bandaged up.
"Ow... Careful, Yugi," Yami winced, once Yugi had jumped into his lap and buried his face into Yami's shirt, "I'm fine... Okay?"
"I was so worried, "Yugi sniffled, "Don't scare me like that, Yami."
"Hey... I'm sorry," Yami cooed, carefully running a hand through Yugi's equally outrageous hair, "Shh... I'm fine... No worries, okay?"
"Okay," Yugi messily wiped away tears with the back of his hand, "I love you, Yami."
"I love you, too, Yugi," Yami smiled, gentally kissing the recovering boy. As their lips met, new tears came to Yugi's eyes and he clung tighter to Yami, as if for dear life. Yami ran reassuring circles in his back.
"I've got to go, Yugi," Yami whispered in his ear, once he'd broken the kiss, "But I'll be back before you go to school tomarrow, 'Kay?"
"But-" Yugi argued.
"Shh," Yami pressed a finger to his lips, "I'll be fine."
"Okay," Yugi giggled, earning himself another kiss.
