"Shit!" he groaned and held his face. He threw a death glare to the puncher.
"That's for flirting at my girlfriend you punk!" The man shouted.
Ian really did smile at the girl but not because she was pretty or he liked her, but because she was an old friend back in North Carolina.
"Fuck your girlfriend bro, she was my classmate back in highschool."
And only when the boyfriend realize he was wrong, his face met a hard fist of Ian.
He knew he deserved it but it still stings.
"Fuck!" He groaned.
"Ian stop that shit right now!" Leo shouted and seperated the two guys who was about to enter a fistfight.
"That shit started it, I was just familiarizing with an old friend!" Ian shouted.
"You were looking at my girlfriend who I have no clue who you are, of course what would I think?!" The guy answered back while getting up.
The crowd started to give them space and encircle them.
"Okay first of all, don't shout at me. Second, doesn't matter who started it, you sound like a bunch of kids fighting over a toy!" Leo said.
"I am not a toy." The unknown girl said.
"Oh, yeah but in a way, you were the toy." Shiela assumed.
Then a tall man appeared in the scene.
"Shut it, or leave. All of you." The tall guy said. Ian knows him and he definitely can fight him, but not in his party.
"Alright, I'm leaving here anyway." Ian declared while leaving the scene, Leo sighed in relief because they were not going in a fistfight, but more on leaving the hell hole he was currently in. Leo dashed to Ian followed by Shiela leaving the crowd dead silent because they were expecting some exciting fight. Damn crowds.

After they got out of the party Leo grabbed his bestfriend's hand and met a fuming Ian ready to throw a punch at anything that he sees.
"Dude, calm down. We're off the party already, that guy's a dick and we shouldn't be wasting time there." He said.
"I agree." Shiela said.
"I know but you should've defended me back there. It looked like we were quarelling over some pathetic girl and some friends were pathetically trying to help us!" Ian snapped.
"Okay, dude, you really need to calm this shit down. If I would punch that guy again, do you think anything would happen?" Leo answered in an annoyed tone.
"Of course, he would know that I don't have a shitty bestfriend!" Ian wasn't backing down.
"Oh really now? Would you look at that. Ian the great once again wants to be infamous at a crappy party hitting a guy in the face and leaving." Leo said with an amused and dangerous tone.
"Fuck you and your shitty ways Leo, are you really that afraid to fight? Are you really that much of a coward?" Ian knows he's stepping out of the line but he felt betrayed, not being protected by his bestfriend.
Leo was really tearing up this time and it didn't go unnoticed by the two.
"Alright, that's enough you two." Shiela declared.
"Ian, I can't believe you. I just can't fucking believe this." Leo said angrily while tears flow in his cheeks down the floor.
And this is where Ian sobered up by like 100%. He quickly got Leo's wrist but Leo threw a fist in his face. It hurt. He, once again, hit the floor with a loud thud and a curse under his breath.
Shiela looks stunned, confused and shocked all at the same time. Should I help Ian? No I should go to Leo. No Ian just got punched. Twice. I should help him get up-

"Go help him get home, he's a little bit tipsy. " Ian said in a sad and soft tone, almost like a whisper.
Shiela gave him a smile and walked over to Leo.

"Fuck Ian and his reckless ways." He muttered under his breath while wiping his tears when suddenly.
"Yeah. Fuck him." A voice came from behind, a little short of breath but still calming.
"Why didn't you help him? He's in pain, I'm not." Leo said.
"Yes you are." Shiela gave him a sad smile. "He told me to help you get home, I think he's just drunk."
"I know, but still, you heard what he said. He knows what's up with those words."
"Can I know?" She said in a voice so soft, filled with honest curiosity.
"Yeah, but not right now, sorry, I just-" Leo was about to tear up again.
"Hey, it's fine. You can tell me whenever you're comfortable to." She said.
Leo smiled, she didn't push too much and it was what he wanted.

They walk along the sidewalk in silence but a comfortable one. Until Shiela breaks it.
"Hey Leo." She said in a soft voice.
"Hm?" He asks.
"What would you feel if I say something I shouldn't have?" She asked.
"Depends, like what?"
"I like you."
Leo almost choked on the air in his lungs. His eyes widened at the confession of his friend which he thought, was with Ian. He looked at Shiela and she had pink-tinted cheeks, a shy smile ghosting through her lips and eyes full of different emotions.
Oh right, I need to say something. Leo thought of different things but ended up saying "Uh, yeah. I think we should stay as friends." He said.
"Oh, yeah sorry for even thinkin-" But she was cut off by Leo.
"No, I didn't mean you can't like me. I just think I couldn't reciprocate your feelings." He said in a calming tone.
"Yeah, thanks." She smiled. It was a little bit more of a smirk though.
"Where do you live?" He asked.
"Uh, in an apartment."
"No, I mean where?"
"Ah, yeah the next building we would pass by."
"I guess I should walk you home first since yours is nearer." Leo claimed.
"Mhm. I should be the one walking you home but it ended up the opposite." She exclaimed with a giggle.
"Nah. It's fine, I don't want to go home just yet for now." He trailed off.
Shiela just nodded and offered an I get it look.

They arrived at Shiela's apartment and Leo waved goodbye and turn to leave but Shiela was quicker. She grabbed Leo by the neck and crashed their lips together. Leo was in full shock on what was happening. His friend's lips was on him, why is this happening?! What is wrong with her?! What is wrong with him?! Shiela deepened the kiss and licked Leo's bottom lip to ask for permission. Leo was really dumbfounded, he had no idea how to react. Everything felt wrong, the time, the person, the situation, the place, but he couldn't move. Then he pushed Shiela a little bit and looked right into her eyes. She had eyes glistening with unshed tears, and a hurt expression that looked like a kicked puppy. She pushed him away and said to him.
"Leo, let's just forget this even happened." And pushed the door into her apartment leaving a stunned Leo in the hallway.

Leo still cannot believe what just happened, he was about to go into panic mode but kept his face calm and collected. He was Leo after all. He kept his face straight. He wanted to cry so bad, this is really going to ruin his friendship with Ian, his brother since childhood. Ian is for Shiela, and Shiela is for Ian. Leo is just for Leo, nothing more. He hated himself for being liked by Shiela.

Leo walked in complete silence and trembling lips to hide his emotions, what if somebody saw him, he would then gather attention. He does not like that. So he kept his head down. When he reached his apartment he opened the front door and took his shoes off, he plopped down on his bed and threw his phone at a pillow. He closed his eyes and desperately wants to talk to any of the two, he wants to talk with Ian but he can't, he wants to talk with Shiela but he can't. Leo couldn't sleep that night.
